Distroller (dist-ro-yer) World is a retail entertainment brand with art and design at its core So many things! First, tech plays an important role in this book and San that spreads good vibes for ages 0 to 102. Distroller was founded in 2004 in Mexico City by Diego has a lot of tech companies as well as military and national security artist Amparo “Amparin” Serrano, and is known for its disruptive and innovative style of art contractors. It is not hard to imagine a best-selling face recognition app and communication. Distroller currently carries the Neonate Babies, Chiquity Boom Town coming out of this city. Also, the canyons which connect the neighborhoods of San Diego pro- vided a convenient hiding spot for the main character , Lucy, as she tries to escape the mysterious hacker. And beyond that, the landscape of San Diego lends itself to a story about exploring the nexus between memories, identity and reality. The fog that often creeps in morning and night along the coast is a conve- nient metaphor for the process of forgetting. While the cliffs and the ocean the characters navigate in the cat mouse chase with the hacker are natural symbols of the known and unknown. What was your favorite scene to write? I loved writing the scenes where I had to use imagery to explain the brain and memory. I love the image of the brain as a universe. Which works perfectly because the brain has as many neurons as the Milky Way has stars. Think about that! We all have a galaxy in our heads. What was the most challenging scene to write? Kissing scenes. They are tricky and hard to get just right. Because they are really important to YA readers but easy to get wrong. My husband who is not in it for the mush was always saying, “There’s too much kissing!” My editor asked for more. I think I found the right balance. I do think my husband liked it when I asked him to prac- tice kissing with him whenever I was trying to figure out hand placement and stuff. Would you wear Spex? Only to my husband’s work parties.
