Academic Integrity Academic integrity is a fundamental value of education and RMHS; therefore, cheating, plagiarism, falsification, or attempts to cheat, plagiarize or falsify will not be tolerated. Should it be determined that an academic integrity violation has taken place, the teacher reserves the right to assign a zero grade and then follow the appropriate discipline procedures. Repeated infractions will result in additional discipline. RMHS Academic Expectations Attending Red Mountain High School is a privilege, and with that comes the responsibility for students to participate and progress academically. Students are expected to participate according to their teacher's directions in class. Participation will lead to academic achievement and progress, the major goal of high school education. The long-term reward is graduation, but the short-term rewards are many and depend on the individual. Dear Parent/Guardian: The Mesa Unified School District Governing Board and administration firmly believe that students and educators have a right to a safe school campus. It is only with such an environment that full advantage may be taken of the excellent educational opportunities Mesa Public Schools offers. A safe campus and a high-quality learning environment require ongoing cooperation between the school and the community. During the first week of school, a copy of the district’s Information and Guidelines and Code of Conduct were emailed to you. These documents contain important information. These documents provide information concerning academics, extracurricular activities, and student records. The Code of Conduct outlines all student behavioral expectations and consequences for non-compliance.
