Saura paintings were first studied by famous anthropologist Verrier Elwin. Saura tribal painting is a style of wall mural paintings associated with the saura tribals of state of Odisha in India. These paintings are also called icons are visually similar to warli paintings and hold a religious significance for the sauras. MMMMM

The liquid part is known as toraṇi.[1] It is popular in Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Assam, Chhattisgarh, and Tamil Nadu.In Tamil Nadu it is called Pazhaiya Sadam. The Bengali name for this dish is panta bhat, in Chhattisgarh it's called bore bhat,[2] in Jharkhand linguistic communities use names like paani bhat, paakhaal or pakhala, and in Assam it's called poita bhat.[3]It is a preparation that is had during summer, although many families and communities eat it throughout the year, especially for lunch. People who toil in the sun such as farm hands have it as it replenishes the salt and water lost by the body. MMMMM

PAGE 5 CHENNA PODA Chhena poda (transl. Burned cheese) is a cheese dessert from the Indian state of Odisha. Chhena poda literally means Roasted Cheese in Odia.[1] It is made of well-kneaded homemade fresh cheese chhena, sugar is baked for several hours until it browns.[2] Chhena poda is the only well known Indian dessert whose flavor is predominantly derived from the caramelization of sugar. INGREDIENTS 2 litre milk ▢2 tbsp lemon juice ▢¼ cup sugar ▢2 tbsp rava / semolina / suji, fine ▢3 tbsp water ▢1 tsp ghee / clarified butter ▢5 badam / almonds, chopped ▢5 cashew / kaju, chopped ▢2 tbsp raisins / kishmish▢¼ tsp cardamom powder MMMMM

PAGE 6 INSTRUCTIONS take the crumbled paneer into a large mixing bowl. crumble and mash slightly, making sure the texture is uniform. further, add ¼ cup sugar and 2 tbsp rava. mix well until the sugar melts completely. now add water or as required and prepare a smooth cake batter consistency. mix for atleast 5 minutes, to have a uniform consistency. further, add 1 tsp ghee, 5 badam, 5 cashew, 2 tbsp raisins and ¼ tsp cardamom powder. mix well making sure everything is combined well. transfer the chenna poda batter into the mould and tap twice. cover and cook on medium flame for 25 minutes.
