In 2007, he received a scholarship from the European Union and received training in endovascular aneurysm repair at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Vascular Surgery Clinic. In 2010, he was appointed to the Clinical Chief of the Cardiovascular Surgery of Samsun Education and Research Hospital successfully in the clinic examination which was opened by the Ministry of Health. In 2011, he was awarded the title of associate professor. In 2012, he left the clinical chief duty and started working in Istanbul Surgical Hospital. He left this hospital in 2013 and served as a lecturer in Yeditepe University Hospital Cardiovascular Surgery Department. Soner Sanioğlu is still on this mission.

Fahrettin Keleştemur, born in Elazığ in 1955, graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1979. After completing his residency in internal medicine at Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine between 1980 and 1989, he started to work as an assistant professor in 1988 at the same university. He got the title of associate professor in 1990 and professor in 1995. He has worked at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty and London University's St. Bartholomew's Hospital Endocrinology Departments. In 1993, he established the Department of Endocrinology. He has been invited as guest lecturer to the Trier University Department of Psychobiology, Oxford University Medical Faculty Department of Endocrinology and to the Cleveland Clinic Department of Endocrinology. In 2006-2008 he was the chairman of Endocrinology and Metabolism Association of Turkey. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the European Neuroendocrine Society (ENEA) from 2002 to 2006 and of the European Endocrinology Association (ESE) from 2005 to 2009. In 2008 he was among the founders and directors of the Turkish Society of Neuroendocrinology. He was a member of the advisory board of the European Society of Neuroendocrine Tumors (ENETS). Since 2013, he has been a member of the PCOS working group in the European Society of Endocrinology. He has published 248 articles in international journals. In 2015, he was elected as board member of the Pituitary Society. In 2012, he was brought to full membership of Turkey Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) and is still working as a member of the TÜBA council. He was awarded with Bayındır Medical Award in 2013 and TUBITAK Science Award in 2014. Between 2008 and 2015, Keleştemur worked as a rector at Erciyes University and was the founding chairman of Turkey Institutes of Health Administration (TÜSEB), which was established for the first time in our country in 2015. In 2018 he was elected a member

of The Academy of Europe. In addition, in 2018, he has been among the 100 Turkish Guiding the Medical Sciences.
