Peer Coaching Guideline Peer coaching is the most effective way to practice your coaching skills. It is an opportunity for all learners to practice coaching and give feedback to others on the coaching skills they have developed or need to work on further. To graduate, learners need to complete a minimum of 48 hours of peer coaching for WICA and 90 hours of peer coaching for WICC. Learners will be assigned both peer coaches and peer clients to work with. The purpose of peer coaching is to practice your coaching skills with a fellow student and gain feedback related to your development as a coach. Your peer knows coaching methods, models, and philosophies, enabling them to provide relevant feedback. The methodology outlined below ensures everyone follows the same steps. The roles of both peer coach and peer client are essential to making this process a success. Do not hesitate to ask your instructor or coach training coordinator if you have any questions regarding this process. We are here to empower you on your journey to becoming a coach! Peer Coaching Log If you are pursuing certification with us, you need to complete the student peer coaching and peer client log.
