State Assessments and Accountability Action Items NEW DATA PULL OPTIONS IN EDUPHORIA!! We now have 2 new options for pulling student data in Aware. We will update the In-Person/Virtual views every 9-Weeks, but also wanted to add the option of how our students completed the Spring of 2020. There were 8 PEIMS options for the 2020 Covid Participation Codes, but we felt it would make sense to combine to 2 categories to help teachers/admin create tutorial groups, etc. Informational Items As posted in the updated 2020-2021 Educator Guide to Accessibility, page 5 states: “The mode of testing (paper or online) should not be documented in the student’s paperwork and should be determined closer to testing once the student has been given the opportunity to practice online.” UPDATED PROCEDURE (Reviewed in this week’s AP Meetings): In SuccessEd, ARD Facilitators and 504 Coordinators will only have the option to choose STAAR for the type of assessment. (ARD Facilitators will also have the option for STAAR Alt 2 for special education students that qualify.) More info can be found HERE. ————— STAAR TESTING REMINDER: As of 10/23, all students will be required to complete any needed STAAR/TELPAS/STAAR Alt 2 assessment on their home campus in the Spring. TEA has no current plans to allow testing from home for virtual learners. Kevin Malandruccolo

If you experience symptoms of COVID-19 in a way that is not normal for you, it is important to stay home and contact your primary care provider. In order to return after having symptoms you to meet one of the following criteria: 1. Contact your nurse on campus regarding your symptoms. IF you don't have a nurse, contact immediate supervisor. 2. Provide a negative PCR test (see the link below to testing sites RAPID ANTIGEN TEST WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED) OR SERVE EXPECTED QUARANTINE PERIOD, OR 3. Provide a note from a physician stating you do not have COVID-19, OR 4. You must wait 10 days from your onset of symptoms, AND be fever free for 24 hours, and have an improvement in symptoms. ***In any of these circumstances, you must be cleared by HR before returning. If you have had close contact with someone with COVID-19 lease wait for HR to contact you to get additional details in order to determine if you may return. If you are positive for COVID-19 you must wait 10 days from your onset of symptoms or positive test date (whichever is earlier), AND be fever free for 24 hours, and have an improvement in symptoms. You must be cleared by HR before returning. If you are looking for testing we will accept results from a TDEM approved testing site. This link allows for an easy search by city or zip code for your closest locations. Many people have questions about the types of COVID test; this link provides information about the types of tests and why only accept a PCR test result for clearance. There are three ways for you to return to work: 1. Cleared by HR for symptoms that are related to a normal and explained occurrence. i.e. eat ice cream + lactose intolerant=diarrhea OR 2. Doctor's note clearing you as they have determined that your symptoms are not COVID related OR 3. A COVID test (PCR) in which returns negative OR in which you have successfully completed a set quarantine cycle. Marivel Sedillo
