Let us remind one another that our God always keeps promises. Let us remind one another that we are called to be Christ’s hands and feet in the world. Let us remind one another that creation is ours to protect and preserve. Let us worship our God of love together. OPENING HYMN Arise, Your Light Is Come FESTAL SONG Arise, your light is come! The Spirit’s call obey; show forth the glory of your God which shines on you today. Arise, you light is come! Fling wide the prison door; proclaim the captive’s liberty, good tidings to the poor. Rise up like eagles on the wing; God’s power will make us strong. PRAYER OF CONFESSION For our anger, O God, which arises quickly and causes us to lash out, forgive us. For our bitterness, O God, which festers in our hearts and causes us to fixate on our resentment, forgive us. For our apathy, O God, which sets in gradually and causes us to live our lives without care for others, forgive us. Change us, Holy One.
