Water forTogoIt took them 2 years, 17 different fundraisers and lots of perseverance, but they did it! Elise and Olivia launched their idea (Water The Earth With Love)SOLaIDnd raised the $8,500 needed SOLID to build a well in Togo, Africa through Gain International. Being a part of LAUNCH has drasticallychanged that. Raising money to provide clean drinking water was moreimportant to me than anything that could go wrong as Elise and I spoke infront of large audiences... Our coach Monica asked us where [we] wantedto grow and I chose courage... Monica encouraged me to make a list ofcourageous things I do, and just that simple act motivated me and pushedme as I took chances each day. Although I still get afraid, speaking to newpeople isn’t as hard for me, and I am more confident in myself to take onnew challenges, no matter the risk. ~ Olivia2 :: LAUNCH News

LAUNCH is a humbling experience that grounds young leaders. “ It’s easy to think we can tackle challenges and goals on our own, but LAUNCH shows us how much we need God and the people He works through to accomplish anything. The monthly meetups are perfectly timed so I am made to break away from my heavily scheduled life and really consider how each activity is aligned with my goal/dream. Although it is a delicate balance of discipline and“relationship, it has felt more like an act of someone intentionally caring for me where there is really no obligation (and that’s what makes LAUNCH coaching so wonderful!) ~ LAUNCHee Justina (Coach: Judy) (Pictured with Lee, our Coaching Coordinator) Did you know...? Leadership Course Students Meet Michael and Max (LAUNCH Leadership Course Students) and their co-leader Farshad. For their final Leadership Course project, Michael and Max have been meeting with their Coach (Andy) to launch Project 0 to100. Through this project they hope to build 5 classrooms in developing nations, provide food for those students for 5 years, and build 5 wells for clean drinking water in those communities. Having started with $0 they hope to raise the $100K needed to make this dream a reality. The internship program serves all our Youth Unlimited programs by coming alongside young adults that are considering entering into various YU ministry opportunities.SOLID SOLIDFOR “MULTIPLY” OVERLA At LAUNCH, we help these interns grow in self awareness and gain OVERLAY more clarity on who they are, their passions and their calling. We equip them (using Coach Net based curriculum) to focus on how “ M U LT I P LY ” God is leading them and coach them through whatever steps are necessary to live that out. During the year long internship we meet with and coach each program intern once per month. We also provide support for their supervisors. LAUNCH FamilyUpdatesHearty congratulations go out to Suraj Reddy (our LAUNCH tools tech guru) and his wife (Natalie) as they have just recently welcomed their first child Claire Zoey Reddy! We wish them all the best! William Raposo (our LAUNCH Associate Director) is currently participating in the Emerging Arrow Leadership program. Please pray for him as grows, learns and works to complete all the required reading and assignments. LAUNCH now has the privilege of supporting more young people through our Youth Unlimited family of programs as we come alongside Project Serve (a program offering inner city service project experiences for youth locally and internationally) and New Ground (a program providing employment opportunities and job training to struggling youth). We’re excited to come alongside these programs as they continue to expand their leadership development and youth training plans.
