He expressed his gratitude towards Mr. Jagdish Raja (Mayor- Jalandhar) and Mr. Digvijay Chaudhary –IRS (Asst. Commissioner Income Tax) for gracing the occasion. Mr. Berlia congratulated the teachers, students and parents in accomplishing an impossible feat of organizing the Annual Day virtually. He reminisced about the time when the pandemic forced a lockdown on everybody. However, due to the technical and infrastructural investment that Apeejay Education Society had invested in for over two decades, Apeejay Schools were able to conduct virtual classes within a short span of time. He congratulated and appreciated the perseverance of the teachers and the support of the parents. He expressed his hope that with the continuous support of the parent community, the School will soar higher and higher and provide quality education to the coming generations . Mr.Berlia talked about the legacy of Apeejay, the value and character formation that forms the crux of education at Apeejay. He appreciated the efforts of the Alumni in promoting the ethos of Apeejay, i.e. education with the focus on man making and nation building. Address By The Chief Guest-Mr. Jagdish Raja (Mayor, Jalandhar) Mr. Jagdish Raja, congratulated the Principal, the teachers, the Parents and the students for organizing such a glittering event. The Chief Guest was visibly impressed by the magnificent efforts of the school to display such an amazing show. He congratulated the school Principal and teachers for imparting quality education, virtually to the students even during the pandemic. Sh. He inspired the students to strive for learning and growth in life without degrading their morals and values. From The Principal’s Desk The Principal Ms. Sinia Sajith, presented the Annual report of the school and made the audience aware of the school’s eventful journey and achievements during the session 2019- 2020. She emphasized the institution’s focus on providing high quality learning experience to the students, even in the wake of a pandemic. The Annual Report outlined what the School had achieved, how well the School is progressing and the plans to continually improve the educational programs and services for students in our community. The Principal informed the gathering that Apeejay School Model Town would soon expand capacity that will enable it to grow into a full-fledged school that will support students’ needs till grade 12. She briefed the audience about the cocurricular activities and the best practices developed and followed by the school to make learning a joyful experience The Programme- Resilience 2.0 “Resilience 2.0 reflected mankind’s collective capability and resolve to triumph over adversity. The programme was a testament to our mental toughness, our resolve, our attitude and capability to overcome adversity. The event commenced with the auspicious lighting of the ceremonial lamp. The evening was full of colorful array of dances, songs, plays and musical acts. The highlight of the event was “Where Eagles Dare” an English play dedicated to the arm forces. The documentary Punjabi Virsa depicted the true essence of Punjab which was an incredible visual treat. .
