ELET Breakthrough Program Some reviews on the session...SUMATHI: The ELET Breakthrough session conducted was indeed a breakthrough. It inspired and enriched ourunderlying communicating skills, and also encouraged the significance of team spirit.SENTHIL: The ELET training session conducted was certainly fruitful in inculcating communication, listening ande-mail writing skills. The trainer is an excellent resource with his unique training methods and an overall inter-active session with the candidates.HEMALATHA: I am very thankful for conducting the ELET Breakthrough Session which was very informative andchallenging. Many events were conducted on various aspects to develop our personality skills. It enhances anindividual’s interaction and gave an idea about decision making in correct scenario.JOY: The ELET training program was valuable to improve our verbal communication. May 2015Monthly Production Reviews Team Review MeetingHeidelbergThe HD TS PEs team monthly production review meeting was held on Tuesday May 26, 2015. It wasattended by all TS PEs.The production editors were congratulated on compiling the maximum issues pages in May, as 191 issueswere forwarded for print publication. The credit goes to the team members as they tirelessly strived andachieved this request to prepone issues and built as many as possible.At the outset, the meeting session focussed on TAT and MDJs. The discussion shifted attention to the im-portance of various reports. The production announcement received this month was analysed and clarifi-cation requested by the team members were discussed. Some queries on the detailed differences be-tween free and open access were explained. The session continued to the inclusion of cross mark logobased on the article type. The importance of proper and complete analysis of an article concern beforefiling a Q-flow ticket was analysed. Finally, the session completed with CAP journals switching procedures.Practical concern regarding JWF after recent patch installation and technical defects were also discussed. Bharathi VelsamyDordrecht/Tokyo/BeijingThe Dordrecht/Tokyo/Beijing team monthly review meet was held on May 13, 2015 at TS journals Produc-tion Editorial team. The meeting was scheduled for 30 minutes and the topics discussed were qualityissues, production update etc.For new instructions received via e-mail, PEs were informed to preferably forward the e-mail to FSV in-stead of copy/paste option to avoid any induced errors while transferring the information. Regarding newinternal transfers, PEs were advised to track regularly the former PE’s outlook/JWF for few months. Theteam was reminded of the workflow procedures and the deviations to be averted. Any deviation in theposition of Crossmark logo must be informed.With regard to Special issues, PEs raised concerns on the absence of Article Category for Special issuearticles in the acceptance e-mail. One of the PEs shared a feedback from the journal Editor that categoryis not visible in OXE proof.The emphasis on the requirement for an accurate Springer journals Beijing weekly report was addressed. Aravindhan, JeyarajTeam review meets – New YorkThe monthly review meet was held on May 21, 2015 for Total Service New York for TS Journal PE team.The topics discussed in the meeting are Production announcements received in April-May 2015, articleand issue turnaround time, article backlog etc.The production announcement received for Cover month in issue publication, Cover finish for digitallyprinted journals, Institutional author name and non-floating elements are the important points discussedin team review.Queries from the team members regarding the “Bib Comment”, placement of Crossmark logo andORCID were explained.In continuation to last month’s discussion on TAT enhancement, individual journals TAT were scrutinizedin the meeting.
