NW REGIONAL NEWSLETTER HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST We added some great people to our family August 1. Many of the former FMC employee’s accepted the invitation to join Academy. They are a great group and we are very fortunate to have them on our team. The boost they gave us in August helped provide a region record closings of $65,386,651. Applications, credit pulls, and locked pipeline were also the best ever for the region. The group overcame some heavy storms that rocked the boat the first two weeks but towards the end of the month the seas were beginning to calm down. I want to thank Kelly, Dave, Jason, and Ev and their staff’s for helping to transition the group! I am very thankful that our new branches in Meridian and Nampa came with high quality operations talent. Excellent processors, closers, funders, admin’s, underwriter and new closing Mgr. Susan Holmes. This group matches up with our existing top notch operations team. All together this is a formidable group who will help our sales team reach record market share in the valley. Please see pictures of our new family members in this newsletter. Dave Perry joined Jason Oswald qualifying for President’s Club with 4 months to spare. Please take Aaron Nemec’s 90 day challenge and choose a professional or personal goal to accomplish between now and the end of November. Laguna Beach, Maui, and Barcelona are pretty nice carrots to be chasing and the more folks along for the trips the merrier. While you’re reading this newsletter Jason, Dave, Leon, Kelly, Tera, and I are helping villagers just north of Johannesburg in South Africa. Wish you were here. Many of us are excited that football has started! Friday Night Lights, College Game Day, your favorite college team, and NFL throughout the week. “The measure of who we are is what we do with what we have.” Vince Lombardi -Dave Schile

EVELYN COX First I’d like to say Welcome Aboard to the new team members. I’m sure for many of you (I know it true for me) August was a blur! We welcome new Operations to the team, starting with Carol (CJ) Martin – in Underwriting; Stacey Irish (Closing) Jonathan Michalski (Closing) Maggie Weekes (Closing); Susan Holmes (Closing Manager); Gabrielle Rhoades , Gretchen Riley (Funding). I want to thank you all for your patience while we were transitioning every- one on board. Growing hurts but it’s all good and we are very happy to have each and every one of you on our team. I also want to say THANK YOU to everyone that jumped in answering questions, lending a helping hand when they could. Remember to use Day 1 certainty as much as possible and to follow your AUS findings. On the closing side – no more PCA audits. (I hear cheers for that!) I’m sure that we will be hearing stories of the service mission that some of our team members are attending in Africa as well as photo’s. From Life’s Little Instruction Book; “Don’t waste time grieving over past mistakes. Learn from them and move on” “Strive for excellence, not perfection” “Be kinder than necessary” Ev

CHOOSE YOUR ATTITUDE: Laugh a little!! It’s not always black and white

Community Service Whittney Curran and Andrew Tchisda supported the Idaho Youth Ranch in this fundraiser on August 25th held in Boise Idaho.

All Lo’s going to Africa- I hope you all have an amazing well deserved vacation in Africa! Your numbers are truly stunning month after month. I appreciate all you do for our team! Go enjoy and relax! Maggie, Johno, Stacey-welcome to our team! It is great having you here, can’t wait until party night.  Laurie Funston-Half way there, my friend. You make it look so easy, and we know it is not. We miss and adore you and cannot wait until you are back in the office with your ears in.  xoxo ~Brandi Albers So much to be grateful for in the month of August 2017! Making the transition from FMC to Academy was an absolutely amazing, professional, encouraging accomplishment on the side of Academy. Twenty-five days into this and I am still amazed and so grateful for EVERYONE at ACADEMY! One person who has gone ABOVE and BEYOND and will come as no surprise is Kelly Beebe. She works around the clock (literally), has tremendous knowledge, happy to assist and even picked up a file to process. With all that you do, you have a smile and a genuine spirit that SHINES! SHOUT OUT TO DAVE SCHILE FOR CLEARING God Bless YOU and just know YOU ARE PRICELESS! OFF EVERYONE’S CARS DURING A SNOW DAY ~ Carolyn Summerton

Have to give a shout out to some of the gals from our office who dropped what they were doing on a moment’s notice to jump in and help out the FMC folks who were in a real bind. Lacie, Tara, Natalie, Ami, Heidi, Darla, Brandi, Modesty, Amy – you guys, as always continue to impress me with your abilities and selflessness. You’re all the epitome of team players. We wouldn’t trade any of you for the world…and we’d stack you up against any mortgage teams in the nation!! Keep up the good work. Laurie Funston – you’re on amazing human being. Your attitude and work ethic are unmatchable. I wish we could clone you ten times over!!! Blessings, prayers, and good thoughts continued your way!! Miranda Bosley – a big thank you from all of us over here for jumping in and helping out on files. You’re a strong addition to our team!! Thanks for all you do. ~Jason Oswald I would like to thank Ann, Carole, Manesseh, Linda and Lynn for making my workdays so delightful. Also Ev, Fran, Tina, Becky, Jaycee, Modesty and Mike (just to name a few) for working past normal hours and always going that extra step to help get the loans done! I am blessed to be a part of such a great team!!! And thank you Dave for being a great leader! ~Kristi Lacroix I want to recognize Stacey Irish and Jonathan Michalski, closers in our office, who have worked tirelessly to be sure our files get out on time. Working hard is not new for them, but given our recent transition, it has caused them to turn files with much shorter margins than they would normally to make closings. Their ability to adjust to new systems, smile, and perform is exceptional, and I want to recognize their hard work and can-do attitudes! ~Leon Baker

Huge CONGRATULATIONS to Laura Elkins on her upcoming wedding to Brett. We are all excited for you! You are a beautiful bride! We hope you enjoy your big day! ~Jennifer Bender everyone at the Meridian, Idaho Branch Thank you to everyone that has provided food, prayers, cards and general “good thoughts” to myself and my family! THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!!! ~Laurie Funston Thank you PEARL!!! You are a rockstar and did amazing this month and every month.. WE ARE LUCKY TO HAVE YOU!!! XOXO ~Vicki
