EDUCATIONSIMA WUKIWA EDUCATION SUPPORT PROGRAM 1 WUNDANYI CONSTITUENCY SCORECARD AUG 2017- DEC 2018 - SIMA WUKIWAŸ Sima Wukiwa Education Support Program is a Full Scholarship program specifically for students joining form one , who come from household which have never taken any of their elder children to high School.Ÿ Held a parenting seminar for all beneficiaries parents and in August.Ÿ Consistent mentorship for all beneficiaries with meetings every school holidayŸ Beneficiaries : 204 Students Amount: Ksh 5.2 MillionŸ SIMA WUKIWA EDUCATION SUPPORT PROGRAM 2Ÿ 192 students who sat for 2018 KCPE exams have been identified to be sponsored from form 1 to form 4 bringing the total number under this program to 396.SIMA WUKIWA INITIATIVE 4( A fight Against Poverty Initiative) is thebroad agenda towards attaining betterliving standards for all my Constituents. EDUCATION BURSARIES WUNDANYI CONSTITUENCY SCORECARD AUG 2017- DEC 2018 - BURSARIESŸ A minimum of Ksh 5000 awarded to Secondary students.Ÿ A minimun of Ksh 10,000 awarded to Tertiary and colleges.Ÿ Disbursement done on time (1st Term)Ÿ Amount disbursed from NG-CDF Bursary Ksh 21,402,384. Secondary Schools- Amount allocated Ksh 14,997,823 .Ÿ Tertiary institutions- Amount allocated Ksh 6,404,561.Ÿ All 2018 students joining universities under government sponsorship, mentored and offered fees of Ksh 10,000 each amounting to Ksh 530,000.Ÿ “Under 20 years Mwashako Football Tournament” finalist, were awarded Ksh 360,000, to go towards their school and college fees. Kshs 3 Million and Ksh 5 Million for primary and secondary school respectively.Ÿ Set a team to spearhead Boresha Matokeo School performance improvement program in engaging stakeholders.Ÿ Wundanyi was the most improved constituency in the 2018 KCPE results in Taita Taveta County.Ÿ Bench marking trips for schools among them a visit to Makueni by Ngonda Primary School teachers and B.O.M members.Ÿ Held two forums bringing together Head teachers, BOM’s Parents and all stakeholders.Ÿ Held a meeting with Mghange Nyika Welfare to unveil a report on poor performance in Mghange. Danson Mwashako Football Tournament.Ÿ Selection of 25 man Under 20 Wundanyi Constituency football team.Ÿ Sponsored the team for an exposure Trip to Nairobi.Ÿ Played Kariobangi sharks and Bunge FC.Ÿ Apart from trophies 36 players were awardedŸ Ksh 10,000 each towards their education.Ÿ Provided the team with Full sports gear and 10 balls.
