the briefYou are asked to promote the LSAD end of year fashion show in aninteresting and eye catching way. With mandatory requirementsbeing a catalogue, containing the students work and a piece aboutthe design and the designer themselves and invitations, to be sentout to relevant press members. The promotional material for thisproject can be print or screen based and there is opportunity to becreative with how you promote the fashion show. There are someconsiderations to take into account when undertaking this project,like the fact that not many people know where the venue of the showis, LSAD church gallery, and also the fact that there are limitedseats available, compared to previous years. You should appeal tostudents within the college and also fashion enthusiasts who perhapswould not know that there is a fashion show of such a high standardhappening in Limerick.

the conceptThe body is the only constant within fashion, and fashion only exists to dress thebody in new and interesting ways. Fashion adapts to the change of time yet thecanvas upon which it is based remains the same. For these reasons we decided touse the body as the canvas for our campaign. The pleating that is used within thework is used to mirror the movement of fashion over time, to graphically representthe characteristics of the pleat we introduced triangles throughout.
