Patel Vice Chancellor, Rashtriya Raksha University Member, National Security Advisory Board, India Member, 21st Law Commission of India Message from the Vice Chancellor Recently, India became the 2nd largest Internet user base, in the world, with 4560 million users of which 450 million access the internet over their mobile phones not just to communicate and browse media, but also to shop, transfer money, trade stocks and commodities, exchange crucial documents, pay utility bills, etc. Valued at USD 6.7 Billion, the Cyber and Secure communication industry has a huge potential for growth. In this environment of constant digital and data growth, it is imperative that India is equipped with the necessary resources, including personnel and training, to provide effective cyber security, data privacy, and secure communication, which will not only cater to the civilian and security sectors but also to the international market. At Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), we believe in imparting Training, Research and Entrepreneurship based education in order to build the capacity by ensuring safe and secure digital environment. Research and Publications Research is an integral part of the activities of RRU. The Directorate conducts research within its academic programmes under all the schools to study & explore semi-structured & unstructured problems to provide scientific, optimal & innovative solutions in order to maintain peace and harmony in society and country. It offers PDF & Ph.D. programs, internship/training, consultancies, carries out Research Projects funded by University and External Agencies and has cells like Intellectual Property Rights Cell and Publication House. We publish books on National Security and Police Science, International Research Journal on Police Science, University Magazine, Conference proceedings, etc. We are having well developed and sophisticated research labs in Forensics and Cyber Security. We have developed various internal security products, which were copyrighted and registered for patents. We regularly organize Seminar, Conferences, TOTs, Workshops, Awareness Programs and Value-Added Courses, etc. In the past we had organized a National level Research Methodology workshop sponsored by ICSSR, International Conference on Police Science & National seminar on IPR and Cyber Security. 11

Class of 2022 Class of 2018-2022 is incredible.They are involved in various IT related activities and here is the glimpse of their memorable contribution and the work done by the students to develop their skills, The students have developed and expanded various types of student development clubs e.g. The Cyber Alliance, Speak To Lead, Developer Students Club, etc.They are very enthusiastic and extremely active in various communities and have contributed to the activities carried out by the communities.Penetration testing is one of their interested area and they are actively reporting bugs in government websites, private websites, and on various bug bounty programs. In self learning, students have earned various scholarships for Udacity Nanodegree Programs i.n. Deep Learning Nanodegree by Facebook Developers Circle & Intel AI Edge Nanodegree by Intel.By doing group study along with self study,everyone has got knowledge together and also they have completed various training programs such as Google Cloud Ready Program, Android Study Jams, Explore ML program, Udacity Nanodegree Programs, Autopsy Training Program, Cisco Cyber Security Training, CCNA Training, CEH Training, CompTIA Security+ Training, etc. Students with intelligent minds have competed on many 50 well-known coding platform like CodeChef, CodeForces, 40 LeetCode, HackerRank, etc and have achieved 30 spectacular ranks e.g. 5+ stars in CodeChef, 20 Specialist/Expert in CodeForces, etc and also have 10 cleared various professional certification exams like CompTIA Security+, ECCouncil Certified Ethical Hacker, 0 ECCouncil Licensed Penetration Tester, ICSI Certified Network Security Specialist, Microsoft Certified Office B.Tech CSE Specialist, NASSCOM & GoI Certified Junior Software M. National Cadet Corps (NCC) has been an integral part of the institute and students have represented at the National level. Best Cadet Awards have been received as well. Unwind with the club activities The Cyber Alliance (TCA) 1 The Cyber Alliance club’s main purpose is to prepare students for cyber security careers in private and public industries. TCA builds their professional profiles and opportunities to get involved in teams to support operations within the club. Club partners with local/international companies and organizations to bring real-world experiences into the hands of students through pieces of training, community engagement, and job placement. 2 Google Developer Student Club RRU (DSC RRU) DSC RRU is completely non profitable productive club which is lead by GDSC Lead, appointed by google developers. DSC RRU focuses on bringing motivation in students to build projects by solving real life problems with innovative solutions. It helps in creating new connections to students, faculties and external guides and other likeminded people. It organizes several events like 30days of Google Cloud & Android Study Jams and hackathons which allows student to apply their knowledge. Reverse Engineering & Malware Analysis (REMA) 3 REMAC aims to bring in advancements in the field by focusing on practical hands-on training sessions along with malware design, detection and in-depth analysis for Indicators of compromise (IOC’s). Reverse Engineering being an integral part of recreation, will involve disassembling malware, dealing with the mnemonics and coding constructs extending the capabilities of malware design analysis and mitigation. The commitment of the club is to focus on developing practical skills applicable on-field along with theoretical knowledge which will be achieved through different activities and events under the guidance of mentors. We envision inculcating a research atmosphere and thinking outside the box approach as modern problems require modern solutions & to help cyberspace and the community together. 13

Unwind with the club activities Quantum Computing Knowledge Club (QCKC) 4 Quantum Computing Knowledge Club aims to bring about interest and awareness of Quantum Enhanced Technology among the masses with the objective to provide a fun and engaging opportunity for students to broaden their knowledge in this field and to interact with researchers. Our shared interest is the curiosity to explore Quantum Computing technology and teach fellow members through outreach activities, seminars, research, and hackathons. It benefits students by not only exposing them to this field early but also having a chance to contribute to this field with many opportunities. AI Forum 5 Artificial Intelligence is an emerging technology which is impacting almost every aspect of our lives. Knowledge and understanding of these technologies is vital in today's era for efficient and reliable development.Young minds are the key drivers of good change, therefore AI Club RRU is for the students, by the students club to learn and apply their understanding together through various activities like talks, seminars and competitions. SITAICS also has a dedicated AI Center with a fully equipped lab for the students to learn through experimenting and implementation. 6 Cyber Forensics Club Cyber Forensics Club is set up to involve its members to learn, discuss, practice and implement the Digital Forensics and cyber security tools, and techniques so that one can serve the best possible outcomes to the industry. It provides opportunities for students to develop their interests in Digital Forensics along with learning new tools and gaining practical exposure. The club also aims to provide cyber awareness to all so that one can learn how to secure their data as well as to protect themselves from various cyber-attacks. 14

Unwind with the club activities Speak To Lead 7 Speak to Lead is a co-operative & coordinative club of students under Student Development Cell (SDC), SITAICS. Our goal is not just to develop \"Effective Communication Skills\" but even focus on al-round “Personality Development” of our student so that they may excel not only in their professional career but as well in their personal life. Our major focus lies in Fearless Speaking, Develop Effective Communication skills and Personality Development. Multimedia Club 8 Under this club, students create content that will showcase creativity of students and faculties of University, Communication, and responsibility with the use of audio and visual equipment becomes a major part of club. Students use videography and photography skills to capture school events, stories, and community work that will be shared on social media platforms and will allow participants to enter competitions. It aims to motivate students and enthusiastic about the work they do. Outdoor Activities Club 9 RRU Sports Club is a group of students organized and established to promote and develop the interests and skills of members in sport-related activities. The Sports Club is student-initiated, and emphasis is placed on student leadership development and competitiveness. The Club helps to develop overall physical growth by providing various clubs under Sports club like Chess, Athletics, Cricket, PowerSense, Cubing, Football, and eSports, too. 15

Peek into student life College days are among the best days of our life — the friends we make, the time we spend hanging out in the canteen, sharing everything from class notes to class gossip and full of exciting events. During which a student learns new things and comes across several experiences. College festivals offer a chance to do all this and much more to a fresher who is willing to hop on to the festival bandwagon. Every student should experience this organization process at least once during the course of their undergraduate studies. It instills the importance of originality and individuality that are the most vital aspects of engineering. In fact you have to say that the importance of Technical and Cultural Events in college equals the importance of education. Sports Tournament - Sports Week As a wise man said, “The best lessons are learned on field.” Taking the legacy forward, comes the Intra-Institute Sports Festival of RRU. The highlight of the event is that it encourages not only students but also the staff and faculty to participate in every game. The games played with modified rules are Tug of War, Frisbee, Gully Cricket, kabaddi, kho-kho, athletics and many more. 16

Peek into student life Navrang Inaugurated last year to mark the auspicious occasion of navratri. This is a nine day fest which begins everyday after regular classes. It encompasses small competitions designed by students, for the teaching and non- teaching staff along with students. Techno Castle SITAICS's yearly technical festival. It focuses on disseminating technical information and instilling in pupils an excitement for developing technology for the greater good of humanity. Bringing together the brightest minds from the business and academic worlds and creating a forum for them to engage. Techno Castle promises to entice every prospective engineer. Providing an avenue for showcasing innovative products developed by them. Following this lecture series, events is organized which tests a student’s mettle in all forms. Be it applying technical knowledge learned in treasure hunt or coding-decoding clues. They are engaged in multiple rounds and the team / individual who passes every test, survives and make it to the end; gets eligible for a grand prize. In a few years we see Techno Castle moving minds with intellectual stimulation like no other event could. 17

Peek into student life Malhar - Annual Cultural Fest of RRU It is an event that acts as a catalyst for budding talents from across the country where students from the university participate and enjoy to the fullest extent. The fest showcases events like singing, dance, drama, fashion show, performance by university band of students etc. 18

Peek into student life Navratri Celebration A grand celebration of Navratri takes place at RRU ground where everyone dressed in traditional attires looks fantastic and enjoy playing garba - the folk dance of Gujarat. Followed by authentic gujarati food after the tiring garba. 19

NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENTS Now is the time to salute the fame they have earned through hard work and dedication. Starting from the our university level,in the TechnoCastle event which was generally based on all technical skill, some students gave best performance in it and got valuable stand like won first prize in 4-Level Multi-Subject & Coding Event, 2nd prize in Elocution competition. Students have also competed against other university/college students in many fest, like LAKSHYA which was organized in L.D engineering college and they secured 1st rank in coding competition,1st rank in codeswap,3rd rank in quiz and also 3rd rank in GD&PI competition. We are very grateful for having such a cyber warrior like who has cleared the toughest exam with excellent performance. i.n Ethical Hacking Certificate(CeH),Certified Information Security & Ethical Hacker (CISEH),Certified Penetration Testing Expert(CPTE),Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA),Texial Ethical Hacker(TEHL1),Certification on Lean Six Sigma Green Belt,Certified Network Security Specialist – ICSI,License to PenTest Certificate,LinkedIn Learning + CompTIA certified Introduction to Ethical Hacking, Footprinting and Reconnaissance. One of the greatest achievement is (Nanodegree) Intel AI Edge scholar - Been one of the scholars among 750 all over the world by Udacity ,4 star on codechef and specialist on codeforces in coding, and have ranked Top 2%, Silver & Elite Medals in NPTEL Certification Exams for different courses. Dedication towards the country is very important so students have completed the NDA exam by UPSC 3 times consecutively and also attend SSB Interview,NCC \"c\" Certified - Wing (Indian Army),Air-Rifle Shooting,NSS (National Service Scheme). Some have very good writing and speaking skills so they have done a very remarkable job like someone who has edited a book called Forensics and Guide to Indian Law: Investigating Crimes in the 21st Century which was published by the Department of Forensic Science and Criminal Investigation. Directions to RRU From Airport Reach Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (Ahmedabad International Airport). Total travel from airport to RRU is 41km which is approximately 1hr Car drive. Cabs/Taxis are available from there to take you to Dahegam. Booking can be done on- spot or even pre-booking is possible. Board the GSRTC bus for Dahegam from where you can take an auto-rickshaw/cab to RRU campus. By train Take a train to Ahmedabad Junction (Kalupur) station, it is 39 KMs from RRU, Lavad, take a GSRTC bus from Kalupur Railway Station and reach Dahegam. It is approximately a 1.25-hour ride and Dahegam is 12 km far from the university campus. Take a GSRTC bus from Dahegam to Lavad village and then walk to the campus. You can take the easy way by taking an auto-rickshaw or cab from the Dahegam bus terminal that will take you to the campus. By Bus If you are coming from the City, take a GSRTC bus to reach Dahegam circle. From there you can board Dahegam GSRTC bus which is approximately an hour away. Take a GSRTC bus from Dahegam to Lavad village which is 12 kms away from the University and then walk to the campus. 25
