Blog SiteI am using WordPress to write my blog since it is easy to edit any mistake or putimages in at a later dateThis is the second blog I have ever done; the first can be found on my sitewarbzzblog.wordpress.comThe only problem I have is talking about myself and my work so every else canunderstand me.The main reason I started the blog to let people know what I am doing during thework in progress stages and my thoughts on the matter.

Portfolio siteThe sites I currently use for my portfolio are WordPress, Sketckfab andArtstation (has no work on it).Soon I would like to turn Artstation into my main portfolio for images andSketchfab for 3D.The work in the WordPress portfolio is from my final year at Oldham collegewhich represent my best work but I hope to make WordPress in to a blog onlysite.I find it’s easier to show my work with people by just giving them a link thanbring a sketch book or a folder.

Zhengyi Wang 2D concept artistI love Wang’s work especially the one calledThe Path of Decay, I feel like I have just steppedin to an part of hell while demons areperforming a summoning ritual.Another piece of his work I like is the dragonand the knight facing off, it reminds me of agame I became addicted to called dark soulswere you fight a dragons. The project he has been involved are Foxhole(Year-Long Studio Film), Pillow Castle and guildwars 2https://www.artstation.com/artist/rangerwang

Min YumHorror artistI love min’s work since it has a sinister gothic design to nearly all herwork. the design I like is the horse centaur, It has scary appearance ofa zombie centaur with a bone mask; it doesn’t have any arm thatmay have been taken in a battle. She has worked as concept artist for for films and games such as- Walden Media, The Chronicles of Narnia, \"The voyage of DawnTreader\" and more.http://bumskee.cgsociety.org/http://minart.net/

Replhka Gavriil M.I love Replhka’s work especially hisworkflow since January 2016 he has beenteaching me modelling techniques and Uvmapping. His workflow in Uv mapping really helpedme a lot when I was starting out of amodeller. He has game on a few games I know of likeRadial-G and Blink escapehttps://www.artstation.com/artist/replhka

Adam SaccoI love Adam’s work of the robot it reminds me of a robot from a old game I lovecalled Battlefield 2142 Walkers, Adam is a talented 3D modeller making robotand humanoid characters.Has worked on animations, films and video games such as Jumpmaster armor -3d game model, Rose - Forgotten Memories (game), Darwin Project - VirtualReality Theme-park and more.Adam has a vast skill set such as 3D Modelling/Digital Sculpting/CreatureModelling/Concept Art/Shading/Lighting/Texturing/surface detailing/Hair/FurSimulation/Hard Surface Modelling.https://www.artstation.com/artist/adams/profile

Drawing the Figure in Motion• Using the Muybridge images as a reference point I have created a similar motion however each of the drawing for it has different proportion. I really enjoyed this task despite having a good drawing skills

Goku kamehamehaWith this motion I use a reference from a show Iused to watch called dragonball z.This time my drawing has improve a lot morethan before because I lines to keep the roughproportions. Again really enjoyed doing thiswork.

Solaire praise the sun• With this drawing I used a scene from a game called dark souls of solaire praising the sun.• I like how it turned out it still need work to make it look like the screenshot

Digital outcomes• Using my hand drawn Muybridge as reference I use Photoshop to remake it. Now I have fixed the issue of having the wrong proportions.• Using Photoshop I have taken my dbz drawing and made it better with the pen tool.• Using Photoshop I have taken solaire and fixed any issue I had in the hand drawing.

Modular sketching• Using images of spaceships from a show called Stargate I have drawn various components that can make up many variations

Rough sketches 1• After having a hard time drawing with the digital tablet I decide to go with the good old pencil to get my bearings, this will help me visualize my ideas better since I can see what I am drawing as I doing it.• Here you can see I drew some shapes that can be used for the front part of my modular ship.

Rough sketches 2• Here you can see me drawing various components for the mid section of the ship and wings for a smaller ship• Here you can see me drawing roofing that some ship may have to fill it out for wires and weapons, etc. Also I have made a few engines design

Rough sketches 3• Here I have made some little objects that can be used in combination or by itself to add more detail to certain areas

Mix the bits up 1• Using my paper drawing I have used Photoshop to make 40 different components.• After drawing the components I sorted them in to groups such as front parts, middle parts, design 1, design 2 and so on.• Now I have pick a few images from each group then place them next to each other to fit to make design 1.

Mix the bits up 1• As you can see I go through a trail and error phase that allow me to think does it fit. To get components to fit I used the transform tool to alter there shape to get the desired shape I need to complete a design

Final outcomes• After learning this workflow method it will become extremely useful in the future when I am designing an entire fleet of ship for a race of aliens• I had lots of fun making these ship I will continue this method for future project

Understanding Silhouette• To get a better understanding for • Also I have looked at Vasco De this technique I have Feng Zhu Mello on YouTube and he way of video on this and learned a lot creating Silhouette is different to about the form and work flow Feng Zhu as he doesn’t use this could be used in tones but pure black and constant scaling to get a desired• https://www.youtube.com/watc shape h?v=BOcl4rjHlS8 • https://www.youtube.com/watc h?v=JOqx7ZKzY74

Development 1Using a drawing tablet I havequickly produced several designshowever I didn’t have a greatunderstand of this process so mydesign weren’t at there fullpotential.

Development 2 After watch a few Youtube videos I gained a greater understand on how to work up me designs. From this I have created a series of bugs creatures. After I have made more designs I will decide which ones to take to the next step.

Developments 3Now that I have quite a fewdesign it is time to take some tothe next step which is workingthem up with more detail in greyslowly bring them alive.I will take the scorpion, dragonand queen bug to work up.

Clean upUsing the eraser tool I have cleaned up anything that wereout of place then used the brush to fix anything I didn’tlike.I like using this method for initial design it help visualizethe end product with out sacrificing time on a faileddesign.

Man-made materials

Man-made materials• In the man made materials I have collected over the years, I have collected Metal, metal with rust, bricks, broken glass and many more that I can fit in to this brief.• I find this interesting because you will never know when a piece of rust will save you time and effort by providing you with reference to a certain type of rust for a texture map.• I have used the metal panel in the centre as reference for a texture map with I will apply to a 3D model soon.

Scythe Reference

Scythe Reference• In Scythe reference I have a scythe from the game Bloodborne called Burial Blade and a scythe from the animated show RWBY called Crescent Rose.• Before bloodborne even came out I was in loved with the idea of a transforming scythe and I found some reference in low resolution (256x256) then I Created it in 3Ds max/Maya• Next I want to recreate the Crescent Rose as well.• This reference is useful because I can use it to make weapons from it for project for Baz or frank.

Oldham/Manchester Reference

Oldham/Manchester Reference• On my daily travels through Oldham and sometimes Manchester I take picture of anything that seem interesting to me.• For example I could take that rumble pile and turn it into a hill, dirt and a destroyed building.• Just taking picture on a daily basis can give me idea then most of the time my subconscious give me ideas using them without me know.

Space reference

• Space ship reference all of these are from the stargate series however I did have some of the Battlestar galactic series and Halo before my HDD die.• Using this as reference I have model the Daedalus and the Daniel Jackson from the Asgard.• Since I working on spaceships a lot because of a group I work with I need to keep looking at ship and how much detail is made on them to recreate them.

Art

• Looking at other artist work can help you improve you own work. The main artist that I follow are REPLHKA GAVRIIL M., PETRI RAHKOLA and ISAAC YERAM KIM.• About a year ago I took a chance and asked REPLHKA GAVRIIL M “got any tips for a noob” and from there he taught me industry Uv mapping. Just by messaging artist could give you skills you thought you could achieve.

Museum Reference

Museum Reference• Museum are a great source of reference since it holds rare opportunities for example I when to the Oldham gallery and I saw a scene that looked amazing and I knew I could use this in one of my project later.• Now I can use it for a project for baz as it fit the criteria perfectly.

Photo overlaying• The task is to duplicate an image and use the blend setting to get strange effects• I plan on using an asgard spaceship, my friends fox and a wolf.• I just found out that all my work I done on the macs has save corrupted for some reason.

Asgard Warship • Using the Asgard spaceship I duplicated the ship 5 time then I experimented with the blend setting to get different effects. • As you can see on the bottom left it appears to show the detail a little better, it would be a lot better if I haven’t scale up the image and the other layers . • I think I can use this to enhance reference images so I can get a better idea of the detail of the object.

Fox With the fox I did a different way of experimenting because I didn’t want to keep doing the same thing also I wanted to achieve a different result, also I didn’t want to ruin my eyes with that blurry stuff. With this a lot of images I didn’t scale them but the major thing I did different was inverting some of the layers to awesome effect. I really like the bottom right because it like the fox has been transformed in to a lava fox which would be a cool character to make.

Wolf• Here I did a similar I did with the fox but I add more layer to play around with and some of them didn’t work out like I wanted.• But I really like the top right because it looks like the wolf is an ice wolf and it blends really well and again this could also be used for a character that will make.
