SINGAPORE Founded in 1989 by Artistic Director Madam Lim Moi Kim, the Singapore Chinese CHINESE Dance Theatre (SCDT) started out as an avocational troupe under the Singapore DANCE Hokkien Huay Kuan Arts and Cultural Troupe. THEATRE In recognition of its enduring efforts to the local arts scene, in 2013, the troupe was one of the recipients of the Seed Grant from the National Art Council (NAC). In 2014, under the support of the Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan, it was officially incorporated as a professional dance company and named \"Singapore Hokkien Huay Kuan Dance Theatre\". In its four years of establishment, the company has continually seeked to ensure and maintain high quality of performance, as well as strived towards achieving greater artistic creativity and excellence. In 2016, the company was honoured to be one of the recipients of the Major Grant from NAC, and the company was officially renamed \"Singapore Chinese Dance Theatre\" in March 2017. With this affirmation, the company has stepped up its efforts in bringing its performances to a higher level, and nurturing more promising dancers. To date, the company has put up five core productions, including dance drama \"A Startling Dream\" in 2014, \"ROOTED | A Triple Bill\" and \"Journey: Purpose in Motion\" in 2015, dance drama \"Life's A Stage\" in 2016 and “HEARTiculation” in 2017. Apart from actively participating in local performing arts events, the company also tours annually to showcase its works and sought opportunities for exchange. In 2014, the company participated in the \"Third China Cao Yu Culture Week\" held in Qianjiang, China. In 2015, the company was invited to perform at the Asia Pacific Performing Arts Network International Symposium \"The Wisdom of Age in Performance: The Intangible Heritage of the Asia Pacific\" held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. In 2016, the company was invited to perform at the 2016 World Dance Alliance Asia Pacific International Dance Festival held in Seoul, South Korea. In 2017, the company was invited to attend the International Dance Festival held in Ninh Binh, Vietnam. In the same year, the company also participated in the First Maritime Silk Road International Art of Dance Week held in Fujian, China. The company has received acclamation for its high standard performances overseas. With this heightened affirmation and increased responsibility, SCDT is motivated to strive for even greater excellence in its artistic capacity. SCDT will also boost its efforts in nurturing more promising dance talents, in addition to presenting more engaging performances to its audiences, and making Chinese dance more accessible to the wider community. 艺术顾问兼编剧献词 MESSAGE FROM ARTISTIC ADVISOR & PLAYWRIGHT 庄耿精 先生 喜见新加坡华族舞蹈剧场继《游园惊梦》和《戏子情》之后,再推出另一出不 Mr Chong King Ching 同风格的舞剧《寸草灵煦》。 舞剧作为一种表演形式,对表演单位来说,是具有一定的难度和挑战性。最大 的难度是如何有效地将故事传达给观众,让观众能清楚了解其内容而达到欣赏的目 的。舞剧一般上没有语言对白,而是靠表演者肢体动作与面部表情的变化、 在舞 台上移动的方向与缓急,演员之间的互动,加上音乐与灯光的适当配合,以期让观 众心理有所反应而跟进剧情的进展,这些对编舞者及演员都有较高的要求,编舞者 须尽可能令观众了解其编排段落的情节内容,引导观众进入正确的思维方向和应有 心理反应;而演员除了要把舞蹈跳好之外,更重要的是要同时投入所扮演的角色中 ,将角色的心理状态与情绪变化深刻生动地展现出来,令观众受到牵引而有所感动 和感触。可能由于舞剧的这些要求,造成极少数的舞蹈团体愿意排演舞剧。对于新 加坡华族舞蹈剧场勇于接受挑战而再次推出舞剧,我个人表示高度赞赏。 这次舞蹈剧场呈献的《寸草灵煦》带有些许神话色彩,它通过一位深具爱心的 修行老人,因为怜悯一对慈祥老夫妇孤苦伶仃的困境而投胎转世当他们的儿子,以 便陪伴与侍奉他们,舞剧名称中的“寸草”指的就是这个儿子,他要用挚诚的“寸 草心”来孝敬双亲。但后来却发生了令人震惊的变故,触动上天赐于恩典排忧解难 ,这就是所谓的“灵煦”。 这出舞剧表扬人性的“真、善、美”,是当今社会所欠缺的美德,希望演出能 令观众产生一定的启发与反思。
艺术顾问献词 MESSAGE FROM ARTISTIC ADVISOR 蔡曙鹏 博士 华族舞蹈是新加坡色彩瑰丽的非物质文化遗产。在漫长的发展道路上,一代 Dr Chua Soo Pong 一代的舞蹈工作者,不断以新编创作,探索舞剧艺术的奥妙。五十年代以来,《 甘榜的故事》、《胖嫂回娘家》、《梁山伯与祝英台》、《巴督山的传说》、《 红楼梦》、《美丽的家园》、《桂香与狼》、《姑嫂鸟》、《海龟的故事》、《 东郭先生》、《白蛇传》、《原野》、《戏子情》、《婚礼》等等,以传统中华 文化为资源,融合地域文化特色,创编探索自身风格,使作品蕴含着丰富的思想 内涵,提供多种审美情趣。 今晚,新加坡华族舞蹈剧场,为大家呈献一个新编原创舞剧《寸草灵煦》。 这是林美琴艺术总监领导的团队舞剧创作系列的最新努力。定位为神话舞剧,观 众对象是青少年,因而选择了一个孝顺的孩子的神话故事。神话故事的哲学价值 、教育价值和文艺价值,在这部专业舞蹈演员和青少年合力表演中得到体现。《 寸草灵煦》以浪漫主义的色彩,写出孝感动天的动人情节。有推动情节进展的精 彩舞蹈编排,也有连贯故事的哑剧表演,此外还有主演角色表演性强的舞段,阐 述舞剧主题思想、展现戏剧冲突、塑造人物性格,而又充满童趣童真。 《寸草灵煦》是舞剧剧目建设的一个新尝试,希望大家喜欢,也敬请多提意 见,一起推动新加坡华族舞剧的发展。让华族舞蹈继续发扬光大,作为我国非物 质文化遗产之一,既维系社会的凝聚力,也突出自身的民族与地域特色,焕发更 加旺盛的生命力,为多元文化的社会添彩。
艺术总监兼总导演感言 MESSAGE FROM ARTISTIC DIRECTOR & CHIEF DIRECTOR 林美琴 女士 作为新加坡华族舞蹈剧场的艺术总监,我希望通过 Mdm. Lim Moi Kim 全体成员的努力,将更多更好的作品搬上舞台,与海内 外舞蹈团体交流切磋,没有最好,只有更好...... 从1989年的福建会馆舞蹈团到成立专业舞团——新 加坡华族舞蹈剧场,30年来的风风雨雨历历在目……正 说说舞剧《寸草灵煦》。舞剧是由舞蹈来结构故事, 是从舞台这里开始,“这个地方我培养了一拨又一拨的 即需要舞蹈来叙事和抒情,而用什么样的舞蹈手段来叙 演员,我在这里收获了人生的全部,荣誉、鲜花与掌声 事和抒情,是检验编导编舞技法和演员表演水平的试金 。我也将在这里奉献我的所有。陪伴年轻一代收获他们 石。对于一部舞剧来说,鲜明的人物性格,跌宕起伏的 的荣誉、鲜花与掌声。” 故事情节都是不可或缺的。但“舞”和“剧”的节奏把 控又显得收放自如、张弛有度,不同形式的舞蹈可找到 陪伴剧场悄然成长的是梁杰旎。我女儿是外公外婆 不同的支点,而支点本身故事性又很强。和谐均衡的双 带大的,我基本没怎么空陪伴她,这成长中间确实有很 人舞、极具矛盾冲突的三人舞、合力发散的群舞,综合 多弥补不来的遗憾。但我欣慰的是,这种热爱华族舞蹈 音乐、舞台美术及舞蹈演员共同创造出舞蹈。其编导则 的基因传给了女儿。我们并没有刻意规划她的人生,但 是一出舞剧的组织者、整体艺术形象的创造者。整部剧 她从小看到妈妈的努力和在舞台上绽放的光彩,自己选 的段落设计与故事推进,水到渠成,巧妙地做到无缝连 择了以华族舞蹈为志业,现在从事舞蹈教育工作。 接,让观众目不暇接地观看了一部赏心悦目拍手叫好不 负今宵的好剧,是很不容易的。 转专业以后,很多学生学了十几年的舞蹈,最后没 有再上舞台当演员,这是非常可惜的,好像一朵奇葩, 再来说说舞剧《寸草灵煦》编创过程。剧本是我们 正含苞待放,却迟迟见不到那光芒四射的绽放时刻,多 的艺术顾问庄耿精先生的倾情创作,庄先生在该剧中编 少有些遗憾。 创了一个没有“坏角色”的理想社会,我想这也是我们 新加坡走向优雅社会的理想世界。感谢庄耿精老师!在 作为舞蹈剧场的艺术总监不能坐视不管,一定要培 我的记忆里“创作的快乐”是最难忘的,而最快乐的时 养自己舞团的演员,不能都是外聘救火。只要在这个位置 候,就是与艺术顾问、编导、舞美、演员们就“剧本” 上一天,我就必须尽心尽力,为舞蹈剧场的舞蹈事业留下 做沟通的时候。灵感总是在我们的对流中火光四溅,而 一点精彩的东西,那是舞蹈剧场的无形的精神传承。 审美的高度一致,对我来说是有幸福感的,这种知己知 彼的“快乐”和“幸福”是令我难忘的,也是令我珍惜 与华族舞蹈结缘的40多年,华族舞蹈等于我,我等 的。对于一个创作者来说,是动力的来源。工作着欢乐 于华族舞蹈,“为自己喜欢的事业,我尽了最大的努力 着,即使工作很紧张,但笑声依然令人难忘。每一次大 ;有人曾经问,如果再有一次的人生会怎么选择,我毫 型舞剧的演出都是舞蹈历程的又一次“攀登”!离不开 不犹豫地说‘还是舞蹈’。” 幕后团队严丝合缝的“层层搭建”,因此,在这里,谨 让我向新加坡舞蹈剧场的整个团队以及所有为此付出努 力的每一位老师们致敬!没有大家就没有如此精美绝伦 的视觉盛宴! 演出总会有结束的时候,但我们生命中的舞蹈依然 舞动在心头,永不谢幕!我们热爱舞蹈,就如同热爱我 们那个生命中活泼泼的粲然绽放的自己! 预祝今晚的演出圆满成功!
舞剧《寸草灵煦》 舞剧《寸草灵煦》,是专为孩子们编创的神话故事。寸草心,能报三春晖。该舞剧以神话故事的呈现方式,让孩子 们明白:天大地大不如父母之恩大,孝顺至诚的心,能感动天神上苍! 舞剧《寸草灵煦》讲述这样一个神话故事: 子是个十足的孝子,一心一意照顾失明和行动不便的双亲,没有半点 怨言。因国王打猎时不小心射死 子,他的双亲悲痛不已的断肠哭声惊动天神, 子因此得以复活,并且失明的父亲眼 睛一亮也恢复光明。国王为 子的纯孝行为而深受感动, 认 子为兄弟, 也视 子的双亲为父母,一同奉养高堂椿萱。 序幕 深山里的茅草屋住着一位修道人,他以慈悲之心关怀、呵护山野林泉中的虫鱼鸟兽,也关心人间疾苦。 第一场、投胎侍亲 修道人下山注意到村民中一对善良盲眼老夫妇膝下犹虚,于是修道人非常同情老夫妇的处境,决定投胎为 子来做他们 的儿子。 第二场、入山修行 子即是老修 子一家父慈子孝,享受天伦,其乐融融。有一天 子顿感父母年老体衰,建议一起入山修行。鸟兽认出 道人转世,自觉相亲,于是群兽起舞,一片祥和景象。 第三场、迦夷王国 迦夷国皇宫中,国王在阅兵,国家富强,社稷安定,黎民安居乐业,国王无限满足,乘兴出宫狩猎。 第四场、山高水低 子泉边汲水,被群鹿簇拥着。国王引弓搭箭,瞄准鹿群。 子以身护鹿,自己中箭倒地,奄奄一息。国王十分懊悔, 承诺将侍奉 子父母如亲生至百年, 子含笑而逝。 第五场、感动天地 子父母得知噩耗,如晴天霹雳,扶尸痛哭,撕人心肺。鸟兽们围绕 子四周哀嚎。老夫妇的丧子之痛,震惊天神。 天降甘霖, 子复活,老父母亦盲眼复明,喜极而泣。国王牵着 子一家的手,诚邀进宫。 第六场、欢庆团圆 迦夷国皇宫,国王下旨,不准任何人滥杀弱小的生命。迦夷国内萦绕着慈悲吉祥的气氛。国王与 子一家共同观赏歌舞 庆团圆,异姓亲如一家,从此过上幸福美满的生活。

林美琴 总导演、编导 现任新加坡华族舞蹈剧场艺术总监。 曾担任过拉萨尔艺术学院和南洋艺术学院讲师。 1992年第13届马来西亚华人舞蹈节大会 -《登峰》担任评判之一。 1999年受邀参加中国广东省汕头市举办的“九九汕头潮剧节”,编创舞剧《盗仙草》参演。 2002年远赴加拿大“利物浦国际戏剧节”演出,所编导的舞剧《白娘子》得到观众投选的“最佳团体”、“最佳视 觉效果”、“最佳女配角”三大奖项。 2005年、2006年、2007年连续三年担任南洋艺术学院舞蹈系古典舞与民间民族舞考官。 2006年受邀为世界舞蹈联盟(新加坡)之“新加坡制造”编导节目。 2006年、2008年、2009年为多所学校华族舞的负责老师上华族舞蹈教育课。 2007年受邀参加教育部课外活动中心与世界舞蹈联盟(新加坡)合作举办的第二届舞蹈教育论坛2007讲座。 2009年、2010年、2011年受新加坡二十一世纪文化艺术促进会之邀,担任“二十一世纪国际艺术节舞蹈比赛” 艺术总监并编导开幕节目。 2012年经“世界著名武术家评审委员会”资格鉴定,授于“世界著名武术家”荣誉称号。 2015年编创的作品《气韵生动》参加在印尼日惹举办的“2015亚太表演艺术联盟邀会议及交流表演”。 2015年编创的作品有:《秉拂无尘》、《满庭芳》、《情至浓时情转薄》、《临风而舞》、《属于你和我编织 的梦》及《风华正茂》。 2016年编创的作品《气韵生动》参加在韩国首尔的“2016世界舞蹈联盟亚太地区交流活动”并受邀担任大师班 课程的讲师。 2016年担任大型原创舞剧《戏子情》总导演兼编导。 2017年编创《抒心舞意》舞蹈专场舞蹈《宫》之“蝉鸣如泣”。 2017年编创的作品《秉拂无尘》参加“海丝圆梦——首届海上丝绸之路国际舞蹈艺术交流周”

LIM MOI KIM CHIEF DIRECTOR AND CHOREOGRAPHER Madam Lim Moi Kim is the Founder and Artistic Director of the Singapore Chinese Dance Theatre (SCDT). She was also formerly a lecturer at the LaSalle-SIA College of the Arts, Dance Faculty and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Dance Department. Throughout her career, Madam Lim has produced many commendable works that have left indelible impressions on critics and audiences alike. From 1989 to 2012, Madam Lim had actively choreographed for her troupe’s biennial dance production “Wu Zhi Si Cun”, and as the troupe later officially established as a professional dance company, she continues to produce more refreshing and outstanding works for the company. Her works have frequently been showcased on both local and overseas platforms, many of which have received recognition from local and overseas audiences. At the 2002 Liverpool International Theatre Festival, her work “Madam White Snake” bagged the “People’s Choice”, “Best Visual Presentation” and “Outstanding Supporting Actress” awards. Her other well-received work “Stillness in Motion” has also been showcased at the “APPAN Festival and Symposium 2015” held in Yogyakarta City, Indonesia, and “World Dance Alliance Asia-Pacific 2016” held in Seoul, Korea. Other outstanding works by Madam Lim include “Essence of Existence”, “Elegance”, “Unkindled”, “Zephyr”, “Of Promises and Possibilities”, “Vivified” and “Silk of Destiny\". With years of hard work and perseverance, Madam Lim has earned a fine reputation for herself in the dance industry. She has many times invited to choreograph for prestigious national events, invited as an external examiner or adjudicator for dance examinations and competitions, as well as invited to work with important bodies such as the Ministry of Education. Apart from dance, Madam Lim is also a veteran Chinese opera performer and instructor. She has played the lead role in many performances and performed locally as well as overseas, in China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey, Thailand, Canada and Spain. She is highly regarded for her outstanding performance and is a respectable figure in the Chinese opera community. Madam Lim is also a dedicated and knowledgeable martial arts practitioner who has come under the tutelage of many renowned professionals. She obtained the “International Wushu San Shou Dao 7th Degree Black Belt Title of Honor” in 2012, and in recognition of her determination and perseverance in promoting this branch of Chinese cultural arts, she also received the “World Famous Martial Arts Master Title of Honours” in the same year.

Jenny has also contributed significantly to her company’s productions, including “Life’s A Stage” in 2016, “The Voyage Down South” performed at the Singapore Hokkien Festival as well as “HEARTiculation” in 2017.

An outstanding student during his school years, Bizhou was often selected to participate in national and school performances and competitions, and he had won for himself a number of distinctive awards. He holds a MFA with first class honours majoring in choreography from the University of Melbourne (Victorian college of the Arts). Benedict has had extensive training in both Chinese classical and contemporary dance since 1987 under the professional guidance of a renowned Singapore dance choreographer and educator-- Mr. Ng Chay Kuang. In recent years, under the tutelage and mentoring of highly experienced dance and arts practitioner - Helen Herbertson and Dr Don Asker (Australia), has allowed him to further develop and explore his choreographic skills.
李多维, 客卿演员 LI DUOWEI, GUEST DANCER 舞蹈硕士。 1996年至2002年在中央民族大学学习民族民间舞和其他少数民族舞蹈。 2003年至2008年在乌克兰国家学习的古典芭蕾、现代芭蕾、现代舞、 街舞等专业。 1997年至2002年期间多次参加中央电视台和北京电视台春节晚会港澳回归国庆。 等各种大型歌舞晚会,并多次被借调到中央民族歌舞团和中国煤矿文工团参加舞蹈排练以及演出。 2003年在中央民族歌舞团工作。 2009年来新工作。 2010年,担任“英华自主学校戏剧节”的舞蹈编导和艺术指导。 2010年在“桃李芳华”——新中建交大型文艺晚会中出任舞蹈编导和舞台总监。 2012年担任“维多利亚中学戏剧节”的舞蹈编导。 2013年担任原创戏剧《问天》的舞蹈编导。 2010年至2018年SYF比赛均全部获得金奖,硕果累累。 Li Duowei graduated from the Minzu University of China with a Degree in Chinese Ethnic Folk Dance, and subsequently obtained his Dance Master’s Degree in Ukraine. Upon graduation, Li had frequently been invited to perform at prestigious national event celebrations both in China and Ukraine. After moving to Singapore, he has shifted his career focus to dance education. Many of us are Masters Graduates with support from National Arts scholarships. As schoolmates of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), we came together with a similar goal of promoting different genres of music and also to explore the possibilities of the ensemble. We strive to excite and energize our audiences with our burning passion and love for the traditional art.
