VISION MISSION A research university advancing quality WVSU commits to develop life-long learners education towards societal transformation empowered to generate knowledge and and global recognition. technology, and transform communities as agents of change. AACCUP Level 1 Accreditation BEED PROGRAM OUTCOME/S O.1. The faculty are satisfied with their rank and employment status.  Research Result on the Job Satisfaction of the Faculty and Employment Note: Academic qualifications of the faculty are highly remarkable. With three (3) PhD holders, three (3) finishing this November 26, 2021, eight (8) pursuing their doctoral degree and the rest are masters degree holders. These faculty members are also competitive in research, extension, and with very rich expert services. To wit: consultancy; speakership; peer reviewers; masters thesis and doctoral dissertation advisers; etc. Yet, all of the faculty members are Instructor 1, except for the Campus Administrator who holds Associate Professor 5 position. In this case, job satisfaction especially for the faculty members who have been in service for 15 years is expected to display a maximum of ‘satisfied’ satisfaction rate. Due to unavailability of the permanent positions, it took 13 years for some of the faculty members to attain permanent positions. NBC 461 7A Cycle result in draft printout was furnished to the faculty but were not able to avail since their permanent status was given in July 2017 and was not qualified in the cut-off of 7A cycle which is June 2016.

BEED PROGRAM Research Result on the Job Satisfaction of the Faculty and Employment Abstract LEVEL OF SATISFACTION OF FACULTY OF WVSU-HCC This study aimed to determine the Level of Satisfaction of Faculty of West Visayas State University-Himamaylan City Campus (WVSU-HCC) focusing on the employment status, department, and years of service in the campus. The study utilized the quantitative research design using the descriptive survey method. The respondents of the study were the 41 faculty members of the Campus both permanent and full-time part-time. They were selected through purposive sampling method. The study was conducted at West Visayas State University-HCC for the Academic Year 2021-2022 using the validated researcher-made questionnaire and was disseminated through Google forms. Results showed that when taken as an entire group, the level of satisfaction of the faculty members was interpreted as ‘neither satisfied nor dissatisfied’. However when they were classified according to Department, results show that the BSIT have the highest mean which is interpreted as ‘Satisfied’. English department has the lowest mean and is the only group which ‘somewhat dissatisfied’ in their employment. As to the status of employment, permanent faculty members are ‘neither satisfied nor dissatisfied’ while part-time faculty are ‘satisfied’. And as to years in Service, it can be seen that the longer the faculty stays in the campus, the lesser is their level of satisfaction. It is recommended that a careful evaluation on the ranks of the faculty be given attention as it may be the reason why the faculty members are not satisfied with their job. Likewise a qualitative study may be conducted to deeply understand the sentiments of the faculty members. Prepared by: VIRGIE P. TAN, Ph.D. Chair, Area II
