Last Thursday, 11 MUMC friends andother neighbors sorted through a mountain of cans of food donated bygenerous neighbors this Christmas season. There is still more sorting to do! Anyone who can spare an hour or two to help is invited to come to the North Pocono Food Pantry (behind Tasty-Swirl at the Daleville Plaza) this coming Thursday, December 28, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Merry Christmas! Sunday, December 24 – Worship 11 a.m. Special Music - All Choirs No Sunday school – resumes 1/7/17 Christmas Eve Candlelight Worship 7 p.m. – Bring someone!

Thank you to all who came out to the Olde Brook Inn topurchase a delicious meal on December 7th and support theMUMC Learning Tree in their first fundraiser. Thanks tochurch members who also made monetary donations andthe Management of the Olde brook Inn who donated 20% ofreceipts that night to raise a total of $361 for our preschool!Thanks to all who help to make The Learning Tree Preschoola wonderful place to learn. For enrollment information, call570-249-0200. Laurel Taylor writes: My parents, Doris and Stan Saylock, have been long time members of MUMC. We moved them last fall due to health concerns to an assisted living home in the Harrisburg area. The past year has been fraught with change. For Our VolunteersStaff-Pastor Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) Trustees and Church Council Members SPRC & Trustee Training At Elm Park UMC Located at 712 Linden St., Scranton, PA Saturday, January 13th Registration Starts at 9:30 a.m. Training is 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and is free. This is a wonderful opportunity for all individuals who serve or will be serving on the SPRC or Trustee Committees of our church to learn more about their role in this particular ministry of the church. In addition, we welcome any members of the Administrative Council to join in increasing their knowledge of these committees.
