Dear Mariah, What’s up? I am here in Hong Kong, China. I’ve been here for a week, and I’m just getting used to things. I have tried many restaurants here and one food that I’ve eaten that is delicious is the famous Hong Kong sweet and sour pork. I went on a cable car ride and it was terrifying but still a little fun. There’s this giant statue called the Giant Buddha Statue that I saw and it was very huge when I looked up at the first time. It was peaceful and calming to me. I’ll see you when I get home. Sincerely, Erica

Dear Ori Weidman Greetings from China, and ni hao. I have recently started trying to learn Madarin, as well as the many other amazing things about this country. The food is so much better than Chinese food in America. The Great Wall of China is absolutely incredible. It goes on for miles and miles on end. I even got to go into a Chinese temple. The museums are full of incredible history, including my favorite, Genghis Khan. I wish you could come, because I’m having the time of my life. Maybe I’ll bring you back a little souvenir. Can’t wait to see you, Byeee. And Zaijian! Harding Weidman

Dear Dad, Hello, greetings from Tokyo. I love the food and culture here. I visited the Tokyo Imperial Palace, it was beautiful. The architecture there is just so interesting. I also visited Akihabara, it was really cool, all the lights there and all the screens and shops. I haven’t even mentioned the beautiful cherry trees, they were in full bloom when I came in April. The ramen and sushi there was insanely good. I went to some local restaurants and I couldn’t stop eating it. Overall it has been a great trip and I can’t wait to see you guys at home. Sincerely, Henry H

Dear Mom I’m writing to you from China.China is a really colorful place and has a lot of wonderful things. They have one of the tallest buildings in the world.I visited the Great Wall of China. It was a very long walk and i was sweating like no tomorrow.I also visited the Forbidden City. That one was pretty cool also because it was a imperial palace where back then it was the political heart of China during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Dear Grandma I’ve been having a lot of fun for the past few days. We’re staying in The Peninsula Hong Kong. It’s really pretty. There’s so much to see here. Such as Big Buddha and Victoria Peak. We’ve been visiting a lot of sights, and I ‘ve fallen in love with all the different colors. My mom and I are going to Disneyland tomorrow, and I’m so excited. Maybe the last day we’re here, we’ll go to Hong Kong Museum. Also, did I mention the food down here? They have the best Sweet and Sour Pork (better than chinese take out in the United States), and their Wontons are to die for. I also want to say that the culture is astounding. That’s all I have to share for now. See you later! Sincerely, Kelis

Dear Kate and Olive, I landed in New Delhi India yesterday! Once I got off of the plane I was sent headfirst into the busy streets. As I walked around, all of the different sights and smells filled me with excitement for this new trip! I have already tried something new! It’s called jalebi and it is deep fried batter that is soaked in sugar syrup, and it is spun into fun spiral shapes! I had them cooked right in front of me on the streets! For lunch we had some delicious parathas, and they were filled with cheese, because many people in India practice Hinduism, and are vegetarian. Tomorrow I am going to go down to see the Ganga river! I am taking a traditional pottery class down by the river! The streets of New Delhi are so colorful! During this fun Hindu holiday called Holi where they throw dried paint, and everything is just so beautiful! It’s good that New Delhi celebrates too, because New Delhi is the capital of India!
