Apsara Foundation history in Tbeng Commune• Apsara Foundation has help to initiate 13 community-based homestays (bed and breakfast) in Tbeng Commune since 2013• Help train bed and breakfast owners on basic hospitality, housekeeping and cleanliness• Provide free interest microfinance loan to B&B owners to set up facilities like mosquito nets, pillows, pillow cases, mattresses, towels, utensils etc..• Apsara Foundation has help to train community cook so they can cook food for visitors who stay overnight in Tbeng homestay• Apsara Tours has help promote and has sent many eco-tourists for overnight stays at the Tbeng community B&B homestay
What assistances are neededTo make tourism sites more appealing• Beautifying area around the lake with garden, playground and sitting benches• Build additional dinning kiosks and community market stalls• Build roads and trails for biking, and trekking around the lake• Install promotional sign boards on the major main roads• Build public toilets for male, female and disability and children• Build cable bridge or zip line facility• Turn the floating vegetation into a hydroponic vegetables garden• Build tower for panoramic picture and patrolling• Build orchard flower nursery• Acquire paddle boats or kayak boat for visitors to explore the mangrove forest and to see the spring water from its source• Acquire Ox-cart for local transportation for visitors to explore the off the beaten trek• Acquire off road buggies to rent to visitors who want to do the off the beaten trek tours• Acquire bicycles to rent to visitors• Acquire camping equipments to rent to visitors• Build full facilities community base restaurant (women run restaurant)• Install more trash cans around the lake recreational area• Set up community business center
