JODI WELCH Innovations / Collaborations: Chitra processed the first electronic land division application and set up an automated inspection cancelation process that actually sends a text to the inspector’s phone! 2

Birthday..  Rochester Hills Building Department how can I help you? “How do I change the shape of my property?”  Rochester Hills Building Department how can I help you? “I cleaned up my yard, you need to send me a thank you note.”  Rochester Hills Building Department how can I help you? “A house on Livernois is painted yellow. Why did we allow that?” Customer Service continues cross training all of the staff so they are able to help out when necessary. Esther is now processing and scheduling all fire alarm and fire suppression permits and projects. This is a vital part of the building plan, “be the best Building Department in the eyes of our customers and peers”. We Love our Littlest Visitors! 3

Rochester Hills BUILDING DEPARTMENT April Snippets continued… Pat Gallagher, 2788 S Christian Hills Drive, who called to say the entire team was so helpful but she wanted to give a special shout out to Norwood Bates who went way above and beyond to help her and her husband. Way to go everyone!! Borden Park new building has begun. Site Innovation Hills Ranger Station began and ispmreopavriantgionailsonnegar completion. Innovation Hills Ranger Station began and is moving along. The Building Department hosted a BBQ to Work began on the City Clerk’s office and celebrate the 2022 Detroit Tiger season. The weather wasn’t ideal but we found innovative auditorium on April 26th . ways to improvise. Everything will be completed in the auditorium by the first Council Meeting in May. Clerk’s office will be done by the end of May. The Building Department received approval to move forward with the purchase of Camino, the new virtual inspection software. 4

Rochester Hills BUILDING DEPARTMENT April Snippets continued… The following email was sent from Matt Einheuser, Natural Resources Manager. “I just wanted to send a quick thank you note to Facilities, MIS, and the Media team for helping to set up for our Deer/Gardening program yesterday. Everything went smoothly and the program was a success. We appreciate your support for making it still happen with the auditorium being under construction!” Keep raising the bar Facilities!! Jodi Welch, Manager of Ordinance Norwood Bates found another gas leak Services, hosted her first HOA Spring while on an inspection in a residents home. Nice job Norwood! Forum as the Manager. She did a great job coordinating and presenting. The forum had a great turn out with many presenters. Nice work Jodi! There was a lot of great feedback from those ones that attended! Maria Willett passed along information she received when she was at the Oakland County substation, “I just wanted to share that when I stopped by the Rochester Hills substation today, they had so many wonderful things to say about Rudy. They enjoy having him over there and really appreciate his hard work.” Nice work Rudy, way to represent!! Keep up the great job! 5

Rochester Hills FACILITIES DIVISION Facilities Activities  DPS is coordinating the reconstruction of the Borden Park parking lot.  Innovation Hills Ranger Station – Approved by City Council on 2/07/22. Construction to begin in 2nd quarter.  Spencer Boat House roll up door.  Borden Office Building - Approved by City Council on 2/07/22. Construction to begin in 2nd quarter.  Clerk’s Office project. Approved by City Council on 2/07/22. Construction schedule in process.  Complete repairs and replacement of all city park building roofs. In process.  Facilities completed the painting and preparation needed for the installation of the Clerk’s Office new moveable filing system.  Facilities completed renovations to the HVAC system at the DPS Garage, in Allan and Nick’s office. 11
