Assumption University Guidelines for the Implementation of Higher Education Standards (2561) into Practice According to the Ministerial Regulation, “Educational Quality Assurance, B.E. 2561” (23 February, B.E. 2561), the former Higher Education Standards, B.E. 2549 announced by the Ministry of Education were revised. Later on, the Ministerial Announcement regarding the new Higher Education Standards were announced on 17 Aug. B.E. 2561 to replace the former Standards. Besides, the “Guidelines for the implementation of new Higher Education Standards” were announced on 12 Nov. B.E.2561 by the Commission on Higher Education, to be implemented by all Higher Education Institutions in academic year 2019. The new Higher Education Standards consisted of 5 standards are presented as follows: Former Higher Education Standards New Higher Education Standards (B.E. 2549) (B.E. 2561) 1. Quality of Graduates 1. Learner Outcomes 2. Higher Education Administration 2. Research and Innovation 3. Establishing and Developing a 3. Academic Service 4. Art, Culture and Thainess Knowledge-based and Learning-based 5. Management and Administration Society Desired Outcomes of Education (DOE) In addition to the Higher Education Standards, that were announced in B.E. 2561 the Commission on Higher Education has specified the Desired Outcomes of Education (DOE) that are in line with the National Education Standards B.E. 2561. The Desired Outcomes of Education must be exhibited by students during their studies and after graduation, should emphasize the characteristics of the Thai people 4.0 which respond to the vision of developing the country to stability, prosperity and sustainability and to be able to compete in the world arena. The envisioned characteristics of Thai people 4.0 include being a good person with virtue, being a good citizen and adhering to the shared values of the society for personal development in order to build a sustainable country. The goal to incorporate the DOE into the Program IQA system is to ensure the education quality that meets the minimum standard outcomes for students in 3 areas. Desired Outcomes of Education Desired Outcomes Specifications 1. Individuals who learn (Learner Person) to Have lifelong learning skills, keeping create work and have quality of life as a abreast with changes, adaptability, person with perseverance, commitment to flexibility in the digital world and the learning, who adhere to morality, ethics / future world, with leadership, various professional ethics and have lifelong knowledge and skills, and intelligence learning skills to keep pace with the digital that can be applied in creating jobs / age and the future world, have the occupations that are stable and create competency resulting from knowledge, quality of life that is good for oneself, admire aesthetics and apply Thai wisdom, family, community and society with have life skills to create a job or career morality, perseverance, and adherence to based on self-sufficiency economy, professional ethics stability and good quality of life of self, family, community and society with morals and ethics 1

TQF 2 Program Specification, Section 4: Learning Outcomes, Teaching and Evaluation Strategies, in Section 2: Development of Learning Outcomes in Domains of Learning 2. TQF 3 Course Specification, Section 4: Development of Student Learning Outcome Example: Writing standards for learning results in each area can be done by adding additional standards to the original standards or by integrating these standards in order to avoid duplication of the original and highlighting clearly which area of DOE the standard belongs to. Section 4: Learning Outcomes: Development of Student Learning Outcome 1. Moral and Ethics - Have morals, perseverance and determination (Learner Person) - Seek justice and equity - Have ideology, participate in national development and abide by the principle of democracy (Active citizen) - Adhere to morality, ethics, professional ethics (Learner person) 2

- Have the ability to settle conflicts, create sustainable peace in the society (Active citizen) - Be aware of one’s role as a good citizen who knows what is good and what is evil (Active citizen) - Have ethical courage or determination in demonstrating active Thai citizenship and global citizenship (Active citizen) - Have moral courage in demonstrating active Thai citizenship and global citizenship (Active citizen) 2. Knowledge - Have knowledge of other scientific discipline and focus through self-study and research (Learner Person) - Have knowledge of multiple disciplines through self-study and research (Learner Person) - Have lifelong learning skills (Learner person) - Be able to apply knowledge and skills in job creation / career (Learner person) - Have the ability to integrate cross disciplines (Innovative Co-creator) 3. Cognitive Skills - Able to be co-creator of innovation for change (Innovative co-creator) - Keep abreast of changes, is able to adapt to the changing digital world and the future world (Learner Person) - Have innovative and creative intelligence and innovative problem solving skills (Innovative Co-creator) - Have interdisciplinary integration skills (Innovative Co-creator) - Be able to contribute creatively to the development of technological innovation for society to increase value/opportunities for oneself and society (Innovative Co- creator) - Have intellectual skills according to the attributes of 21st century skills (Innovative Co-creator) 4. Interpersonal Skills and Responsibilities - Able to be a leader and a follower in different situations and to work in a team (Learner Person) - Be a leader or a follower that suits the situation and can work in a team (Learner Person) - Have a volunteer spirit, love for the community and is able to live peacefully in Thai society and the world community (Active citizen) - Participate in the management of sustainable natural resources and environment (Active citizen) 5.
