CLASS 7 SUB-SCIENCE HALF YEARLY EXAMINATION MAX MARKS-40 TIME ALLOTED GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS 1. The question paper comprises four sections-A, B, C and D. There are 19 questions in the question paper. All the questions are compulsory. 2. Section A consists of question number 1 to 8. These questions are very short answer questions, MCQ’s and Assertion-Reason questions which should be answered in one word or on sentence. They carry one mark each. 3. Section B consists of question number 9 to 13. These are short answers questions which carry two marks each. 4. Section C consists of question numbers 14 to 18. These are also short answer questions which carry three marks each. 5. Section D consists of question number 19. This is long answer question and carries 5 marks. 6. There is no overall choice in the question paper however internal choices have been provided in some question. SECTION -A 1. Big cats have sharp teeth. Why? 2. 7. ASSERTION-An increase in the temperature on the surface of earth leads to a phenomenon called ‘greenhouse effect’ which causes global warming. Reason-Carbon dioxide gas helps in trapping a part of the energy of sun rays in the earth’s atmosphere by not allowing that energy to escape.
