The budget process began in March2018 with distribution of historical data and forms to all Department Directors. 2 FL City Gvnt Each department formulated budgets, including maintenance and operating Weekexpenses, operating initiatives, and capital project requests. Then each Directormet with the City Manager to review budget priorities and available funding. Public 4 Business Budget Priorities Workshops with City Council were also held and allowed citizens Spotlightthe opportunity to submit input on the upcoming budget. The Cer ficate of Achievement is the highest form of recogni on in the area of governmental accoun ng and financial repor ng, and its a ainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. The CAFR has been judged by an impar al panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstra ng a construc ve “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and mo vate poten al users and user groups to read the CAFR. This document, which isrequired to be produced by the state, offers our residents a transparent look into the financial statements produced by the Cityof Cocoa. The Cocoa Police Department is looking for anyone interested in helping the community through an active role within the police department. Volunteers are needed to assist with road patrols which may include traffic control, house checks, parking enforcement, special events, minor vehicle crashes and other patrol related functions to assist road officers.
