Judy Hopps, a small rabbit living in a local farmland, once dreamed that she wanted to be a police officer.

Her parents hardly agree because she was too small to be that. They wanted her to keep growing carrots.

Surprisingly, she passed the police exam with the highest score of all candidates, so she moved to work in the city called Zootopia.

The first day meeting in the morning, she wanted to detect the case of the 14 missing animals, but she was assigned to take care of the traffic and tickets instead.

Mrs. Otterton, wife of the missing otter, asked for help to find her husband. Luckily, Chief Bogo (a cape buffalo) let Judy finish this case within 48 hours. If the mission failed, she would be fired.

Judy started asking for help from Nick Wilde, the fox that scammed her the day before.

Nick unwillingly helped her. Both got into the car of Mr. Big, the influencer arctic shrew of tundra town. Then, they were taken by polar bears, the henchman of Mr. Big.

Both Judy and Nick were almost thrown into the river because Nick had made Mr. Big feel angry. Then Mr. Big’s daughter showed up, she told her father that Judy had saved her the day before. Mr. Big then told what happened to Mr. Otterton.

Mr. Otterton once ramped like a wild animal, walked with four legs and unconsciously hurt Mr. Manchas, the chauffeur jaguar.

Nick and Judy visited Mr. Manchas at the rainforest zone. After talking for a while, Mr. Manchas went wild. His wild instinct came back and then attacked Judy and Nick.

Judy and Nick called other officer for help. Then, Mr. Manchas had disappeared as soon as the police arrived.

Chief Bogo was angry and told Judy to give back the police badge, but the time wasn’t over.

Nick had an idea that we could watch the CCTV camera to see where Mr. Manchas disappeared. Judy asked for help from Bellwether, an assistant sheep of Mayor Lionheart.

Judy and Nick found that all the missing animals were captured into hospital somewhere by wolves. All the missing animals were unconscious, went wild, and spoke madly.

Judy found that the wirepuller of this case was Mayor Lionheart who wanted to conceal about this, but he couldn’t find a cure.

Judy told this to Chief Bogo. That made police arrested Mayor Lionheart. Judy was famous overnight. Nick was disappointed that Judy told the reporters this might be because of the predator's DNA.

The whole city couldn’t get along with each other. The prey animals were distrustful and protested the predators.

Judy felt guilty that she caused the protest, so she decided to quit her job and go back home to keep growing carrots.

Once Judy was told that her cousins had eaten a purple flowers called Night Howlers. Then they went wild.

Judy suddenly went back to Zootopia to find Nick to apologize what she had said. Both decided to investigate this case again.

Judy and Nick found laboratory for growing Night Howlers. Night Howlers were extracted into a round bullet. If someone was shot, it became wild.

Judy and Nick could get a gun. While they were going back to office, they found Bellwether who became the new mayor instead of Mr. Lion Heart.

In fact, Bellwether was a wirepuller. She was the one who ordered henchman to shoot predators. She wanted people to distrust them. She wanted prey to rule the city.

Bellwether could get the gun and shot Nick, but the bullet was not Night Howlers. Judy had switched the bullet from Night Howlers to blueberry.

In the end, Bellwether was arrested. Nick enrolled as the first fox to become a police and he became Judy's partner.
