“Peace is the most powerful weapon of mankind. It takesmore courage to take a blow than to give one”The School celebrated the 143rd birthanniversary of the Father of theNation. On this solemn occasion ofGandhi Jayanti, the students ofGDGPSP started a campaign onSwatch Bharat Abhiyaan .The studentsof GDGPSP presented a role play andNukkad Natak at four venuesaccording to their houses. The Venueswere R.N. Sah Chowk, line Bazar,Gulabbagh and MG Road. Thestudents of grade 5th ,6th and 7thofdifferent houses displayed a skitshowing the importance of cleanliness.The song “Vaishnav jan to tenekahiye” was presented by the kids ofgrade 3 rd. and 4th. The students ofKG block had dressed themselves asGandhi ji and Kasturba Gandhi. TheSchool has also donated a Dustbin ateach venue and instructed people tothrow garbage’s in that.The day endedwith a thought in everybody’s mindthat cleanliness is next to godlinessand service to mankind is the first steptowards reaching it.There was a special assembly alsoconducted by KG to give a deepinsight into the life of MahatmaGandhi.

Dussehra Show GDGPSP organized dusshera celebration for the students of KG. The. children came dressed up as different characters of Ramleela. They also sang devotional songs. They enacted a short dance drama on Dussehra depicting the meaning of Ram , Sita & Laxman going to Vanvas. They also danced together on Aaygiri Nandini that was a tribute to Goddess Durga. In that dance students were dressed up as Maa Durga and Tiger. They celebrated the festival with enthusiasm, festive spirit prevailed all over the ambiance.

ON SPOT PAINTING COMPETITION As we are moving to step in to our second year , we are on theverge of publishing our school magazine Bhawana. For our school magazine we had an on spot painting competition on 13.10.18 where students drew different sketches for the front and backcover of our school magazine. The students KG also participated actively. It was one of the path to give freedom to theirimagination and ideas and to sketch them down. The best sketch will be chosen for the school magazine’s front cover.

JAZZ AND JIVE DAYDance is an essential part of life & education. Jazz & Jive day was celebrated @ GDGPSPKinderland with a great zeal. Students lovedmoving to the foot tapping tunes wearing hat @ scarf and had gala time with their peers.
Halloween’s DayHalloween is a holiday celebrated annuallyon 31st October to ward off the evil spiritfrom the mind and body of the children. Thiscomical portrayal of scary characters makeschildren understand that all this is nothingbut just the imagination of their mind.Here at GDGPSP the day was celebratedwith excitement where children camedressed in spooky costumes. They had funwatching the videos and enjoyed singing anddancing. There were very happysuperheroes, fairies, witches & otherinteresting characters in the class. Excitedfaces were seen every where as childrenposed for photographs.The children had a wonderful time & wereseen smiling happily as they left the school.
OPEN HOUSEOpen House helps to communicate to parents the areas their children are excelling in and to give them specificideas of how to improve upon their child’s performances in school. This time Open House was held on 5th of October.
What’s happening in the classroom In GDGPS students are engaged in active&deep learning and are not passively taking in information through instructions. To make each student an active player in learning process, an environment is created over here where opportunities for every student is there to be on the task. Hereteachers emphasize on child centric enjoyable learning, where children enthusiasticallyparticipate in activities to bring about efficientlearning experience. Teachers create hands on learning experiences through different resources to implement exploratory, constructive & expressional modes.
TEACHING LIFE SKILLS TO STUDENTSWe describe Life skills as “Learning to learn skills” which can be developed through intentional daily activities. The development of life skills often happen naturally as preschooler spend each day doing tasks such as washing hands, Walking in aline, talking politely to each other. It is an essentialpart of early childhood education & many kinds oflife skills can be naturally promoted by integrating these skills into children’s play.
FREE It is essential part of a child’sPLAY development allowing time for free play. It helps to build a child’s imagination & creativity, as well as problem solving skills. It is important for building Initiative & self direction in children.It also enhances gross motor skills and helps the kids to independently think & learn.

INNOVATIONS By little hands “ Innovation is important for growth”Innovation means creating new ideas. It is the processof creating something new. Little students atGDGPSP make innovations according to what hasbeen taught in class and to look at the topic fromdifferent point of view. This makes them moreconfident about what they know and also helps themto construct new knowledge.
SENTENCE OF THE DAY DURING CIRCLE TIME Circle time is a great way for our KG kids to get a sense of community with other kids of their age &enhance their skills and improve their attention span. At GDGPSP, KG kids start each day with circle time. It helps the children to learn how to frame asentence as they are made to say a sentence each day during circle time. Eg: Gandhi Ji is the father of Nation. Gandhi Ji is also known as Bapu. Dusshera is a fetival of Joy.We celebrate Halloween’s Day to say Good Bye to Bad things.
ASSEMBLIESAn assembly is a gathering of all or part of school for any variety of purposes, such as special program or communicating information on a daily basis. It helps todevelop spirit, feeling of unity among students. It enables students to share performances as well as their talents. Our KG assembly starts with universal prayer followedby the theme song. Then students stand attentively while the Indian Pledge is being delivered by one of theirfellow mates. Then the children narrate a story or recite a rhyme. The class teacher demonstrates a GK question through a visual to enhance their general intelligence. Before the assembly disperses the kinder tots recite the Phonic Song.
STAR STUDENT Every month an outstanding student in every class is recognized as STAR STUDENT OF THE MONTH. Student who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, exemplary personal & social qualities, showing love, learning & engagement in the total school program, having good attendance, punctuality & discipline & being a role model by setting a good example vie for Star Student every month .
