JANAMASHTAMI CELEBRATIONIn order to celebrate the birthday of Lord Krishna , acelebration was organized in our school assembly hall forchildren. Boys of KG came dressed up as “Little Krishna” andGirls came dressed up as “Little Radha”. Beautiful decorationwere put up to make this event more cheerful &colourful.Students of KG performed the dance on the tunes of KrishnaRadha Song. With their laudable performance they light up thestage & mesmerized the audience. +

Teacher’s Day CelebrationTeacher’s Day was Celebrated with great joy and fervorat GDGPS Purnea. It is the day when students want tomake the day special for teachers. Students of KG sung aspecial song in their class for their teachers. And all theteachers were so happy as all kids were coming andwishing them with lots of love and respect which can beseen with their smile.

Vitamin C Special AssemblyGDGPS Purnea kiddies conducted their Vitamin C specialassembly in the school premises. They wore the cutouts of fruitsand vegetables on their chest and spoke some lines on theimportance of Vitamin C. Vitamin C is abundant in Vegetablesand Fruits. They recited a wonderful rhyme. In class they wereshown a video on importance of Vitamin C.

Prelims of Talent HuntOur Children are full of talent , some of them are good at dance, some of them are good in speech, someone is agood speaker and the list is endless. The preliminaries ofTALENT HUNT was held on 4th September, 2018 to 10thSeptember, 2018. Semifinalists were selected after a weekand all of them were all set to put up a Good stage show.

Talent HuntEvery child is unique, Every child is special and everychild is a potential future leader in his/her own specialway. Credence is given an opportunity to behimself/herself the result outcome is assuredlyoutstanding. Performing arts is one such opportunity thatnot only gives a chance to showcase a child’s skills butalso boost their self esteem, and help to overcomeanxieties. The students had a chance to exhibit theirunique talent in “Talent Hunt” on 18th& 19th ofSeptember, 2018. All the children took the stage by astorm with their mind blowing acts. One by One theevent unfolded into an array of wonderful performances.The show concluded to rousing cheers. Parent’sexcitement supported children’s confidence to show up infront of that gathering. The platform was an opportunityto demonstrate talent & a steepy stone to bring joy &happiness. An overwhelming response of participationfloored us completely & we were overjoyed with thesame.

It was a wonderful day or the young Goenkans ofclass KG of GDGPS, Purnea. The school wasresplendent with colourfully decorated assemblyhall waiting to usher the loving Grandparents. Ourlittle ones welcomed them with ‘Padako Puja’. Thegrandparents showered the little ones with lots oflove. The aim of this padako puja was to strengthenthe strong bond of all kiddies that they share withtheir grandparents. On the same day all thewinners of the Talent hunt also got the prizes. Thenthe KG students performed the dance to show theirlove to their Grandparents. They also performed asong that was a tribute to all the grandparents. Oneof the Student of KG also performed a Rap Song.Needless to say, the Grandparents were very happy& overwhelmed to see their grand childrenperforming for them. A beautiful day indeed!







Special Vinayak Chaturthi AssemblyKG students of GDGPS conducted a specialassembly to mark the festival of Ganesha Chaturthiwith great joy and enthusiasm.All the students of KG recited the aarti withdevotion. The students put flowers on the feet of ecofriendly Lord Ganesha idol which was made of clay.And after that they went for Ganpati Visarjan in theschool campus only. It was the highlight of thecelebration as the immersion procession of LordGAnesha idol was done with the chants of ‘GanpatiBapaMorya Mangal MurtiMorya’.

National Courtesy Day special assembly “Coutesy costs nothing but buys everything” It is wisely said that “Courtesy is simply doing into others what you would like them to do into you. So kids of KG presented the assembly on the base ofcourtesy. One of the student said a speech on what is courtesy. The assembly successfully developed a sense of belongings for the things around them.

Twinkle’s Best instrumental music special assembly The twinkle’s best instrumental music special assembly took place on the students of KG performed the universal prayer & theme song with the music instrument they brought from home e.g. guitar, mouth organ, keyboard etc. The performance was not that much melodious but it was special as it was special as it was performed by our little goenkans.

Whats happening in the classroomIn GDGPS students are engaged in active &deep learning and are not passively taking in information from instructions. They are identifying, thinking, writing, reading etc. To make each student an active player in learning process, an environment must be created in which there are opportunities for students to do tasks.Here teachers are emphasizing on teaching through activities in which the students participate rigourously&bring about efficient learning experience. It gives reality for learning teachers uses all available resources to implement exploratory, constructive & expressional activities.

TEACHING LIFE SKILLS TO STUDENTSWe describe Life skills as “Learning to learn skills” which can be developed through intentional daily activities. The development of life skills often happen naturally as preschooler spend each day doing tasks such as washing hands, Walikng in aline, talking politely to each other. It is an essentialpart of early childhood education & many kinds oflife skills can be naturally promoted by intergrating these skills into children;s play.

FREE It is essential part of a child’sPLAY development allowing time for free play. It helps to build a child’s imagination & creativity, as well as problem solving skills. It is important for building development skills in children.It helps in developing gross motor skills and help them learn to think independently.

INNOVATIONS By little hands “ Innovation is important for growth”Innovations means creating new ideas. Something thathas never been made before or the process of creatingsomething that has never been made before. Littlestudents at GDGPS used to make innovationsaccording to what has been taught in class and to lookat the topic from different point of view. This makethem more confident about what they know.

SENTENCE OF THE DAY DURING CIRCLE TIMECircle time is a great way for our KG kids to get a sense of community with other kids of their age & enhance their skills anf improve their attention span. At GDGPS, KGkids start each day with circle time. It helps the children to learn how to form a sentence as they are made to say a sentence each day during circle time. Eg: There are 7 continents in the world. Asia is the largest continent. Australia is the smallest continent. We should was our hands before eating. We should brush our teeth twice a day.

ASSEMBLIES Assemblies at GDGPS powerfully nurtures thedevelopment of intra personal intelligence & enhancesinterpersonal skills among the peers further helping in their overall social & personal growth

STAR STUDENT Every month an outstanding student in every class is recognized as STAR STUDENT OF THE MONTH. Student based on demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, exemplary personal & social qualities, showing love, learning & engagement in the total school program, having good attendance, punctuality & discipline & being a role model by setting a good example for others. PARENT’S VOICEFirst of all I am very thankful to the managementof G.D.Goenka Public School to provide such aninfrastructure for our kids in a city like Purnea. Iam really happy with the progress my child ismaking at this school, all of her teachers havebeen lovely and always there to help.
