Week 4 Title: Last three escapees caught in Chumphon Author: Bangkok Post Source:https://www.bangkokpost.com/news/general/1557442/last-three-escapees-recaptured-in-chumphon Summary According to the news, The three remaining detainees who escaped from acourthouse in a stolen prison truck were recaptured in a mountainous area ofThung Tako district in Chumphon. The three men were among fivedetainees being held on drug trafficking charges who escaped from the LangSuan provincial court. They snatched the key of their prison truck from acorrections official and drove off in the vehicle. Police and security guards triedto block their escape but they crashed through the gates and drove away. Thetwo other escapees were on foot and were quickly recaptured outside thecourt. After their escape for two days, Thai media reported that the three hademerged earlier from their hideout in a cave to look for food and were spottedby local residents, who immediately alerted police. After that they werecaptured and sent back to prison. My reaction/reflection: In my opinion, the security guards should be more careful andalways prepared because anything can happen anytime.
