FAN UK is proud to introduce the splendid Del Newman & share his awesome talent - AKA - “Del for Leather”! When i was a lad of eleven years, my Dad and i joined a target archery club in my home town of Ipswich. After that it was many years before i became involved again. This time I was invited to join Oakwood Bowmen... that was 25 years ago, most of those I spent in the position of shoot secretary organising and laying on shoots. I have shot AFB and HT; I mostly shoot HT now. When I first joined Oakwood a friend gave me some leather pieces and having played around with these I thought I’d like to have a go at this. That was it! 106

I made lots of mistakes to start with but eventually I got to the stage where I was happy with my work and archery friends would ask if I could make stuff for them. I have always been artistic so that helps. I love working with leather and hope to continue for a while yet. All of my items hand made and hand stitched, & custom made to your requirements. 107
