This is article is Part 1 of a 3-part series that describes a study of an appreciative approach to support teachers in learning how to support children up to 18 years old in developing social emotional learning (SEL) and using a skills-based approach known as transformative emotional intelligence (TEI). Part 2 (the methodology), will be published this fall, with Part 3 (findings and conclusions) following in the spring of 2022.
