MY ARGUMENT ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF ENGLISH IN MARITIME INDUSTRIES According to me English is very important in the maritime industry, not only in the maritime industry but also in another industries , because English is now one of the requirements to be accepted for work in various companies. In the maritime industry English is very important. as we know, English is an international language people who come from various countries will of course use English. and at the port we will be faced with the arrival of foreign ships so that, the work runs smoothly then we must be able to communicate well using English with ships whose captains come for example from America, Australia, India etc.

THE FACILITATING ROLE OF ENGLISH IN THE SHIPPING INDUSTRY The role of english in the maritime industry is very important, especially in terms of communication, so that a job can run well and smoothly, good communication is needed between one and other. For example, in acting as an agent for a foreign ship in a port, of course a ship agent appointed to act as a ship agent must be able to speak English well, so that communication with the captain and crew can run smoothly and all ship documents are handled in English, so that the reason why english is very important in the maritime industry

MY PERSONAL PLANS AND ASPIRATION after graduating from stimaryo I going to work in the maritime industry, especially in a ship agency company, I want to be a reliable, responsible and trustworthy ship agent in the agency of a ship, both domestic and foreign ships. for that I equip myself with the ability to speak English so that later if I am appointed to be the agent of a foreign ship I can communicate well so that all my work affairs can run smoothly
