Allow me to thank first the God almighty for giving me the strength. Thank you for being there for me, guiding me, and helping me. Thank you for life; I could never thank you because it’s a gift from you. Thank you for my family, my friends, and everything I have. To my family, my deepest gratitude and appreciation for being with us all through the way from the beginning and for showing your unconditional love and unending financial, emotional, and spiritual support. To my teachers, thank you for being responsible teachers. Even though we are having a hard time, you help us find work for work immersion and cheer us up.

Work Immersion is a program implemented by the Department of Education (DepEd) and one of the graduation requirements. As part of the program, DepEd has made it a requirement since students are at a disadvantage because they lack skills, knowledge, and experiences when looking for a job. It was administered to gain hands-on experience and be familiar with the workplace through work simulation connected to their chosen track to give them more significant opportunities to apply their knowledge and capabilities. Participating students are properly-oriented, trained, having close mentorship in their work environment with industry supervisors for 80 hours during their two years of study. The objectives of having work immersion are to better equip Senior High School for college, in work or business, develop the right attitudes and actions, and respect and appreciate work. To add more, it also allows them to have a smooth transition from school to work since they have already gained a lot of valuable experience.

REFLECTION Forum on DOST’s Initiatives on Packaging Technology Solutions On the first day of the webinar, the department of Science and Technology Cordillera Administrative Region (DOST-CAR). Recognizes the critical role that proper packaging and label designs play in enabling Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the region to compete in the local and international markets. Hence, the improvement of the packaging and labeling of the products of MSMEs must be urgently advocated and promoted. In line with this mission, DOST-CAR strengthened its Packaging and Labeling Services by establishing the Packaging Innovation Center (PIC) to make local industries and their products globally competitive through the provision of world-class, innovative, and sustainable Packaging Solutions. Their services include Packaging/Label Design Development. DOST-CAR, through its artist-designer, provides designs of the product package and labeling materials for MSMEs in the region. Assistance in developing product packaging prototypes that comply with mandatory labeling rules and requirements is also offered. Short-Run Printing. The DOST-CAR PIC provides initial printing services to all qualified MSMEs. Training/Fora. The DOST-CAR PIC conducts training and fora on packaging technology. Guidance and assistance in solving technical problems related to the packaging and labeling products are also provided. REFLECTION 2021 Setup Summit: Forum on Startup Opportunities under the New Normal and on Intellectual Property Setup summit became a regular activity in the National Science & Technology week celebration in the CAR region. The National Science & Technology week in CAR is an annual activity not just to commemorate. Still, then Philippine National Science week since each proclamation in the 1950s, but rather, NSTW is conducted to continue bringing science and technology closer to the communities. This is even inspired by the agency's battle cry, science for the people. The setup summit is a platform to recognize the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) under the setup banner program to infuse technology innovations in their enterprises towards productivity. This recognition is the setup praise award. With the various challenges in any business, much more the unforeseen help risks that merely put everything stand still innovation becomes, even more, a necessity for a company to flourish. Creation starts from ideas but needs to be transformed into products, processes, or services between the concept or aviation or conceptualization to development to market and expansion. So there has to be a mechanism. We now have the new and active Philippine innovation act and the Philippine startup act, and to nurture this innovation idea, there has to be a mechanism. And this mechanism is a startup enabler. Aside from the government agencies we also have from the private sectors, QBO is the platform that supports Philippine startups, connects and develops the local startups' ecosystem, and forwards technology and innovation. QBO is a public-private partnership that aims to create, grow and scale a competitive startup ecosystem in the Philippines; thus, to support the MSMEs, especially with the new normal, they chose the topic startup opportunities for the new normal.
