In this course, graduates will be able to conduct Aviation Security ENVIRONMENT (AVSEC) courses and be fully versed in the general application of training principles, the preparation of appropriate teaching aids, and the tailoring FLIGHT SAFETY of course material to harmonize course objectives with local and national AND SAFETY requirements. It is intended for any aviation personnel who require AVSEC MANAGEMENT instruction, guidance, and materials. This is a specialized course designed for aviation security middle and AVIATION senior management personnel who have been assigned to organize, L AW plan, conduct, and assess aviation security crisis management exercises to ensure that the overall crisis management system is properly prepared and to determine the effectiveness of crisis management plans and procedures. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to: ENVIRONMENT • explain the need for a crisis management plan to respond to major FLIGHT SAFETY security emergencies occurring at airports; AND SAFETY MANAGEMENT • describe the essential components of a crisis management team; • identify the composition and function of a crisis management team; • describe the essential facilities necessary in support of a planned response to crises; and • list the system-testing feature necessary to ensure currency in crisis management plans.
