It is the talent and outcome of our students which is reflected through this Mega Event. This is one of the best platforms of our students to present multitalented personalities and innovative ideas. EBSB is an activity undertaken by KVS to promote Cultural Exchange and bring harmony among its future citizens. This EBSB programme gives a wonderful chance to the students and staff to participate in different categories of activities. It includes cultural competitions, Literary Fest, General Quiz and EBSB Utsav. Through this programme, the students compete with other regions in Group Dance, Group Song, Art & Painting, Music, Quiz, Poetry, Recitation, Speech, Debate, Spell Bee to name a few. They also make projects on the culture, cuisine, costumes, dress, arty crafts, agriculture, climate and topography of the Paired State by the students. EBSB exposes the students to the alphabet, sentences and proverbs of a different language giving them a scope to learn a new language. I thank all the students for their wonderful response and enthusiastic participation and my E Magazine team without whom this would not have been possible. The Initiative “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” was announced by Hon’ble Prime Minister on 31st October 2015 on the occasion of the 140th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Through this innovative measure the knowledge of the culture, traditions and practices in different states & UTs will lead to an enhanced understanding and bonding between the states, thereby strengthening the unity and integrity of India. The broad objectives of the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) initiative are as follows: To CELEBRATE the Unity in Diversity of our Nation and to maintain and strengthen the fabric of traditionally existing emotional bonds between the people of our Country ii. To PROMOTE the spirit of national integration through a deep and structured engagement between all Indian States and Union Territories through a year-long planned engagement between States iii. To SHOWCASE the rich heritage and culture, customs and traditions of either State for enabling people to understand and appreciate the diversity that is India, thus fostering a sense of common identity iv. To ESTABLISH long-term engagements and v To CREATE an environment which promotes learning between States by sharing best practices and experiences. This year Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat came as an elixir of life during the pandemic. Children in large numbers seized the opportunity to busy themselves learning about the partnered state and showcasing their potential virtually. The Period between October 2010- March 2022 saw the enthusiasm of children at its peak. Children were trying out to learn new language; donning costumes even Teachers also encouraged the students to extract their creative pursuits.
Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat is an activity undertaken by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, every year to promote National integration and appreciation of Indian art and culture, thus sensitising students about the rich cultural heritage of their country and also to develop the feeling of admiration and respect for the cultures of different state. Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programme aims to enhance interaction & promote mutual understanding between people of different states/UTs through the concept of state/UT pairing. The states carry out activities to promote a sustained and structured cultural connect in the areas of language learning, culture, traditions & music, tourism & cuisine, sports and sharing of best practices, etc. As a part of this, Andhra Pradesh has been paired up with Punjab and Telangana with Haryana. All the Kendriya Vidyalayas of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have organized various activities on paired states Punjab & Haryana as per the calendar shared by the department in coordination with partner States/UTs, keeping in view the academic calendar. Kala Utsav is an initiative of the Department of KALA UTSAV School Education & Literacy, Ministry of 2021 Education (MoE), Government of India, launched in2015, to promote arts in education, by nurturing and showcasing the artistic talent of school students in the country. The Ministry of Education recognises the importance of aesthetics and artistic experience of secondary- level students, which plays a major role in creating awareness about India’s rich cultural heritage and its vibrant diversity. In the context of education of Arts (Music Dance, Visual Arts and Crafts), the initiative is guided by the recommendations of the National Curriculum Framework 2005. Kala Utsav is not a one-time activity but the beginning of a complete process of identifying, exploring, understanding, practicing, evolving and showcasing the Artistic talents. On the occasion of celebrating “The National Unity Day” Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, conducted National level story writing competition for students of 6th -12th in six sub- themes from 31st October 2021 – 30th November 2021 at My GOV platform in the portal Theme of the Story writing competition is: “Contribution of the paired state in /Union territory in India’s struggle for freedom.” Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Utsav was observed in all the Vidyalayas under Hyderabad Region. Constitution Day (or Samvidhan Divas), also known as National Law Day, was celebrated in India on 26 November, 2021 to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India. The Constituent Assembly of India adopted the Constitution of India, and it came into effect on 26 January, 1950. The Government of India declared26Novemberas Constitution Day on 19 November, 2015 by a gazette notification. The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi made the declaration on 11 October, 2015 while laying the foundation stone of the B. R. Ambedkar's Statue of Equality memorial in Mumbai. 26 November was chosen to spread the importance of the constitution and to spread thoughts and ideas of Ambedkar. As per directions of Ministry of parliamentary affairs Students participated in online quiz on constitutional democracy (mpa.gov. in/ constitution-day) . Preamble was read by Students, Teachers & Staff of all Vidyalayas.Photographs and short videos of reading the Preamble were tweeted using #samvidhan diwas. Many teachers spoke on the importance of Consitution Day duing morning assembly.
