RitLomo www.proon.eu Lagoon with Water Lily, Lamdaprint on Aludibond, 180x120 cm, 2012 For me, art is the expression of creative rebellion – it is the accumulation of experience and beliefs transcribed into visual form. This level of ab- straction allows me to reflect deeply on the nature of objectification in the compression of a single scene and in doing so restore passion and revive it anew. This passion, the catalyst for love and life itself, is the theme of my work. The creation of a visual space which is thought-provoking and transformative for every individual, unveils the quintessential nature of re- ality and promotes public engagement with the crucial challenges facing today’s society. FrancescoLietti www.francescolietti.comMonsoon Palace, mixed media on canvas, 75x100 cm Sunset With Junk, mixed media on canvas, 60x45 cm Fast-paced, vibrant, East meets West - these are only a few terms to describe the small land of Hong Kong. Formerly a fishing island, the city has came a long way, and through- out history has earned its place in becoming Asia’s world city. Born in Northern Italy, Franc-esco left the country after completing his studies inMilan, before going abroad. He then furthered hisstudies in Paris, and lived in London for the next dec-ade after. Many of Francesco’s paintings are relatedto travels – places he visited and enjoyed along hisjourney. Inspired by the colours of Asia, architectureand abstract paintings. His paintings are a combina-tion of memory and fantasy, where the artist takes intwo contrasting elements – the city and countryside– to recreate his own landscape. Using bold, strikingcolours, the painter takes images from his memoryand enlivens the cityscape with every stroke on thecanvas. The artist works in acrylic on canvas, andmixed media such as newspaper cut-outs and uses collage to give his works texture and depth. Now an established artist in Hong Kong, Francesco Lietti has exhibited across galleries in the cityand has been featured in numerous publications.52 Hidden Treasure Art Magazine Yearbook

He is employed as a chief of the painting studio of the National Theatre in Prague. The inter- est in figurative art accompanies his work. He works with hands and feet as the main representatives for the perception of the whole body. The figural record is a combination of drawing, painting, digital me- dia, photography and sculpture. Over the times, the expression of the drawings and paintings is replaced by the concept of precise shapes defined by the external and internal lines. His work cannot be accu- rately incorporated in one of the above media. The work is usually in-teractive. Drawing is the basis for his visual communication. In principle, the introspectivevisualization is the result. He defines the form that generates his perceptions and emotions. HardieCobbs www.hardiecobbs.com Hardie Cobbs is a Seattle based artist who has exhibited in galleries in San Francisco, New York and Alabama. Her background in interior architecture and graphic design is evident in her work, especially in her use of space, color and detail. Examining patterns through concepts of evolu- tion, chaos & order, and human behavior is the central theme of Hardie Cobbs’ work. By ap- proaching these subjects from a social anthro- pologist’s point of view, she believes this process allows us to understand deeper meanings of the world in which we live. She varies her use of media to suit the framework of the project. Whether it be painting, print- making, photography, or drawing she is able to explore the organization of these patterns in a comprehensive approach. Cobbs’ intention is to provide an intimate reflection of our surround- ings while collectively looking at the larger pic- ture as a whole.Pont des arts, digital print, 24x36 inches, 2013 Astier digital print 24x36 inches 201266 Hidden Treasure Art Magazine Yearbook

The series of Camouflage aredominated by my usual lush fauna, and the silhouettes of soldiers are not overtly exposed tothe surface of painting. Their authentic self might be disguised by the outline of uniforms ofsoldier. The soldiers’ true identity and real story was often forgotten and untold. I want to spot-light their weakness, uncertainty and distress residing underneath their outspoken bravery, res-olution and mystification. I emphasize the fact that we owe our peaceful world to those whowillingly scarified and diedduring the war. MarkusKlein www.markus-klein-artwork.de I am a portrait artist from Germany. My aim is to draw portraits that are more realistic and alive than a photograph. All my works are created on A4 paper with coloured pencils, this medium allows for a huge amount of detail on this relatively small scale. That’s why I also consider my works miniature art, many details reveal themselves only on close observation. I am a family man, with my wife being my muse, strongest critic, and great- est supporter. My advice to beginner artists: art is free and should not be limited to what critics say – just make sure your heart is in it.Lish Jecinta, polychromos pencils, A4 sized creative paper, photo by Maurice de Vries Springtime Feet, pencils, A4 sized creative paper74 Hidden Treasure Art Magazine Yearbook

AJWeber www.aj-format.com My art can be described as abstract and contemporary. My tools include needles, putty knives, brushes, pencils and, of course, my hands which enable me to feel my art. Most of the time, I use whatever I can find, amongst other things: acrylic and oil, varnish, coal and chalk. I use a very special style which features synthetic drawing. I take the shape of an accidentally chosen object and draw part of it onto my canvas. By putting these randomly selected outlines together, I have created an arti- ficial object. My work is pervaded with lines, which arise from synthetic drawing. Combining outlines of existing forms and objects creates a newreality. To finalize my work I connect the graphics with the painting by additional colorizing.People often view my work and find the unexpected. They seek to record the beauty of all links that appear in diversity, the depth of common people, Nature’s simple life and the extent of cultures, especially theone regarding Latin America. I have discovered that drawing is a space to meditate, similar tothe creation of mandalas, allowing me to stop mind’s whirlwind and achieve tranquility. I havealso been able to explore new areas such as music, painting, photography, etching, carvingand writing, all means that give me great joy.Girls of Otavalo, Ecuador pencils 21.59x27.94 cm 2013 Hidden Treasure Art Magazine Yearbook 89
