Why Pharmacy Tech The Pharmacy Technician program at Seguin High School has a rich tradition which began several years ago when local Pharmacist Doug Parker of Parker's City Pharmacy approached the district leaders about the need for qualified Pharmacy Techs in the greater Seguin area. When the new high school campus opened at the beginning of the 2017‐18 school year, Pharmacy students were greeted with a new, state‐of‐the‐art, laboratory and classroom that was designed with the assistance of pharmacy experts. As we began the planning process for a P‐TECH Academy, we determined that the best option for a successful launch was to take an established high school program and adapt it by adding a post‐secondary path.
