A Audio: connected with sound and the recording and broadcasting of sound B Blog: a website on which one person or group puts new information regularly, often every day; weblog Bluetooth: a radio technology that makes it possible for mobile phones , computers and other electronic devices to be linked over short distances , without needing to be connected by wires

B Browser: a computer program that lets you look at or read documents on the World Wide Web Bug: a fault in a machine , especially in a computer system or program BIOS (Basic Input Output System) The software on the system run by the microprocessor. This software the system to begin working.

C Cable: a set of wires covered in plastic or rubber that carries electricity , phones signals , etc. CSS ( Cascading Style Sheets ) a piece of computer software that allows you to describe and control how a web page or a series of web pages should appear to the user. Cloud: a computer network where files and programs can be stored especially the internet.

C Cluster: a group of things of the some type that grow or appear close together. Component: one of several parts of which something is made. Computer: an electronic machine that is used for storing, organizing, and finding words, numbers, and pictures, for doing calculations, and for controlling other machines.

C Connect: to join a computer or a mobile device to the internet or to a computer network. Cookie: a small file that is sent by a website to your computer and that contains information about how you use the site, so that this information is available the next time you use the site. CPU: (Central Processing Unit) The central processing unit (CPU) is the portion of a computer system that carries out the instructions of a computer program, to perform the basic arithmetical, logical, and input/output operations of the system.

C Card Reader: It is a hardware unit that enables the data in the memory cards to be processed. Chip: The name given to the unit made of a semiconductor material and carries thousands of electronic circuit on it. D Disc Drives It is a storage device with very large capacity, which ranges from 1GB to Terabytes in the modernscenario. It is placed in side the cabinet of CPU.

D DVD – ROM (Digital Versatile Disc Read Only Memory) reads the data in the CD and DVD. DVD – RW (Digital Versatile Disc Read Write) not only reads the data in the CD but also writes the data in CD veya DVD. E Ethernet Port: Is a family of computer networking technologies for local area networks (LANs) commercially introduced in 1980. External Hard Drives: External removable hard disk drives offer independence from system integration, establishing communication via connectivity options, such as USB.

F Floppy Disk: It is a smaller capacity removable storage device. It is made up of thin and flexible plastic material. This thin plastic film is coated with a magnetic material known as iron oxide for recording data and is protected by a hard outer cover. Firewire Ports: This port was originally created by Apple and standardized in 1995 as the specification IEEE 1394 High Performance Serial Bus and is very similar to Universal Serial Bus (USB). The key difference between FireWire and USB is that FireWire is intended for devices working with a lot more data -- things like camcorders, DVD players and digital audio equipment.

F Flash Drive: This is a type of flash memory storage device of the size of a thumb and can plug into the USB port of the computer. USB flash drives are more compact, generally faster, hold more data, and are more reliable (due to their lack of moving parts) than disk storage. G Graphics card: A graphics card is an expansion card which generates a feed of output images to a display device (such as a computer monitor).

G Gigabyte: is a unit of data storage capacity that is roughly equivalent to 1 billion bytes. H Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) : Is a family of computer networking technologies for local area networks (LANs) commercially introduced in 1980. HyperText Markup Language or HTML : is the standard markup language for documents designed to be displayed in a web browser. It can be assisted by technologies such as Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and scripting languages such as JavaScript.

H HDMI: Port HDMI is a compact audio/video interface for transmitting uncompressed digital data. It is a digital alternative to consumer analog standards, HDMI connects digital audio/video sources to compatible digital audio devices, computer monitors, video projectors, tablet computers, and digital televisions. Headphones : Headphones are a pair of small loudspeakers, or less commonly a single speaker, held close to a user's ears and connected to a signal source such as an audio amplifier, radio, CD player or portable Media Player. They are also known as stereophones, headsets.

I Internet: is the global system of interconnected computer networks that uses the Internet protocol suite (TCP/IP) to communicate between networks and devices. Internet Explorer: is a of graphical web browsers developed by Microsoft and included in the Microsoft Windows line of operating systems, starting in 1995.

I Interactive video: is a form of digital video that supports user interaction. Interactive videos provide the viewer the ability to click, on a desktop, or touch on mobile devices within the video for an action to occur. Interface: A device that provides connection between two different sections. J Joystick: is an input device consisting of a stick that pivots on a base and reports its angle or direction to the device it is controlling.

K Keyboard: An input device, partially modeled after the typewriter keyboard, which uses an arrangement of buttons or keys, to act as mechanical levers or electronic switches. Kodak camera: A brand of portable camera introduced by George Eastman in 1888, using a roll of film and intended for taking snapshots. Kerning: the spacing between letters or characters in a piece of text to be printed

K Keyboard shortcut: a key or combination of keys providing quick access to a particular function within a computer program. Keylogger: a computer program that records every keystroke made by a computer user, especially in order to gain fraudulent access to passwords and other confidential information Keyword: a word used to classify or organize digital content, or to facilitate an online search for information.

K Kilobit: In data communications, a kilobit is a thousand (103) bits. It's commonly used for measuring the amount of data that is transferred in a second between two telecommunication points. Kernel: The kernel is a computer program at the core of a computer's operating system and generally has complete control over everything in the system.

L LAN: A local area network (LAN) is a system that connects computers and other devices that share a common communications line and wireless link, generally within a limited geographical area such as a home or office building. LAPTOP: A laptop computer, sometimes called a notebook computer by manufacturers, is a battery- or AC-powered personal computer generally smaller than a briefcase that can easily be transported and conveniently used in temporary spaces such as on airplanes, in libraries, temporary offices, and at meetings.

L LASER PRINTER: A laser printer is a popular type of personal computer printer that uses a non-impact (keys don't strike the paper), photocopier technology. When a document is sent to the printer, a laser beam \"draws\" the document on a selenium-coated drum using electrical charges. LED DISPLAY: LED Display (light-emitting diode display) is a screen display technology that uses a panel of LEDs as the light source. Currently, a large number of electronic devices, both small and large, use LED display as a screen and as an interaction medium between the user and the system

L LINK: A link (short for hyperlink) is an HTML object that allows you to jump to a new location when you click or tap it. Links are found on almost every webpage and provide a simple means of navigating between pages on the web. Links can be attached to text, images, or other HTML elements LIVE STREAM: Live streaming technology lets you watch, create and share videos in real time, a bit like live TV. All you need to be able to live stream is an internet enabled device, like a smart phone or tablet, and a platform (such as a website or app) to live stream from.

L LOG IN: When someone logs in or logs on, or logs into a computer system, they start using the system, usually by typing their name or identity code and a password. LOG ON: Logon is the procedure used to get access to an operating system or application, usually in a remote computer. Almost always a logon requires that the user have (1) a user ID and (2) a password. LIGHT PEN: Used in conjunction with the computer monitors for drawing pictures, pointing and for directly controlling screen operations.

L LOOP: In computer programming, a loop is a sequence of instruction s that is continually repeated until a certain condition is reached. Typically, a certain process is done, such as getting an item of data and changing it, and then some condition is checked such as whether a counter has reached a prescribed number. M MASHUP: something created by combining elements from two or more sources: such as. a : a piece of music created by digitally overlaying an instrumental track with a vocal track from a different recording

M MEME: A meme is a concept or behavior that spreads from person to person. Examples of memes include beliefs, fashions, stories, and phrases. In previous generations, memes typically spread within local cultures or social groups. MICHROPHONE: A microphone is a device that translates sound vibrations in the air into electronic signals or scribes them to a recording medium. MODEM: Modem is short for \"Modulator- Demodulator.\" It is a hardware component that allows a computer or another device, such as a router or switch, to connect to the Internet. It converts or \"modulates\" an analog signal from a telephone or cable wire to digital data (1s and 0s) that a computer can recognize.

M MONITOR: A monitor is an electronic visual computer display that includes a screen, circuitry and the case in which that circuitry is enclosed. MOUSE: A mouse is a small hardware input device used by hand. It controls the movement of the cursor on the computer screen and allows users to move and select folders, text, files, and icons on a computer. Motherboard (Mainboard): The motherboard provides connections for all parts of a computer. The memory, CPU, hard drives, optical drives, sound card, video card and other ports and expansion cards all connect to the motherboard directly or via cables.

M Monitor Port: This connector is used to attach a computer display monitor to a computer's video card. The connector has 15 holes. N Notify: To tell someone officially about something. Nickname: Informal name for someone or something, usually based on your real name or your character.

N Network: A group or system of interconnected people or things. Net: The large system of connected computers around the world. Nanobot: An extremely small robot, a machine control by a computer that can do things automatically.

N Nastygram: A written communication containing unpleasant material, especially one that criticizes, insults or intimidates the recipient. NFS: Network file system. Navigation: The act of directing a ship, aircraft,etc. from one place to another, or the science of finding a way from one place to another.

N Nft: A unique unit of data, the only one existing of its type) that links to a particular piece of digital art, music, video, etc. and that can be bought and sold. Network cards: Allow computers to connect together to communicate with each other and maintains a network jack for ethernet cable connection. O Online Shopping: The activity of buying goods or services over the internet.

O Online meeting: An e-meeting is any meeting that takes place online. One drive: The Microsoft cloud service that connects you to all your files. Offline: Not connected to or directly controlled by a central system, or not connected to the internet.

O Online: Online products, services or information can be bought or used on the internet. Operator: someone whose job is to use and control a machine or vehicle. Optical Carrier: The standard unit of measure for the rate of transmission bandwidth for data being carried by Synchronous Optical Networking (SONET) fiber-optic networks.

O Org: Used at the end of internet addresses to show that the address belongs to a group or company that is not established to make a profit. Overloading: To put too much electricity through an electrical system. OpenID: An open specification for authentication and single sign- on.

P Phone: A device that uses either a system of wires along which electrical signals are sent or a system of radio signals to make it possible for you speak to someone in another place whos has a similar device. Photograph: An image of a person, object or view that is produced by using a camera, film or a phone. Print: Letters, numbers or symbols that have been produced on paper by a machine using ink.

S SPAM Spamming is the use of messaging systems to send multiple unsolicited messages (spam) to large numbers of recipients for the purpose of commercial advertising, for the purpose of non- commercial proselytizing, for any prohibited purpose (especially the fraudulent purpose of phishing), or simply sending the same message over and over to the same user. While the most widely recognized form of spam is email spam. Serial ports: A serial port is commonly used to connect external modems, scanners or the older computer mouse to the computer.

S Speakers: Speakers are used to play sound. They may be built into the system unit or connected with cables. Speakers allow you to listen to music and hear sound effects from your computer. T Television: Television, sometimes shortened to TV or telly, is a telecommunication medium used for transmitting moving images in black-and-white or in color, and in two or three dimensions and sound. The term can refer to a television set, a television show, or the medium of television transmission. Television is a mass medium for advertising, entertainment, news, and sports.

T The Task Manager: The Task Manager is an operating system component found in all versions of Microsoft Windows since Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000. Touch Pads: A touch-sensitive device that allows user to interact with the computer system by touching an area on the screen and also used for technical drawings.

U URL: It is the address of a webpage or file on the net. It stands for 'Uniform Resource Locator'. Usb Stick: A USB flash drive- also known as a USB stick, USB thumb drive or pen drive- is a plug-and-play portable storage device that uses flash memory and is lightweight enough to attach to a keychain. A USB flash drive can be used in place of a compact disc. Underclocking: It is used to reduce a computer's power consumption and increases battery life.

U Underwater Drone: Unmanned underwater vehicles (UUV), sometimes known as underwater drones, are submersible vehicles that can operate underwater without a human occupant. These vehicles may be divided into two categories: remotely operated underwater vehicles (ROUVs) and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). Unix: It is a family of multiasking and multiuser computer operating systems.

U USB (Universal Serial Bus): Port USB is an industry Standard developed in the mid-1990s that defines the cables, connectors and protocols used for connection, communication and power supply between computers and electronic devices. V VDSL: It is the short form of 'Very High Bit Rate Digital Subscriber Line' and provides high speed internet access. It is the improved version of ADSL.

V Video Adapter: A video adapter is a discrete card in a computer, typically connected via PCI express in modern desktops. These cards have video RAM, and a GPU chip so that data can be sent to a computer's display. Video Camera: A video camera is a camera used to make electronic motion pictures. It captures moving images and synchronous sound. Early video cameras were all analog and most modern ones are digital. Analog video cameras produce signals that can be displayed with analog televisions.

V Video cards: Allow computers to display video and animation. Recent video cards mostly have HDMI support. Vlog: It is the short form of 'Video Blog'. It is a web blog including many videos or written commentaries. Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP): also called IP telephony, is a method and group of technologies for the delivery of voice communications and multimedia sessions over Internet Protocol (IP) networks, such as the Internet.
