D The inspiration E from design was S from Johnathan I Barnbrook who used G bold contrasting N colours after a lot 1 of experimentation I have included my first designed poster to the right. I done this because as a poster it is important to grab the audience’s attention and display the most important information. Therefore, a bold font with a unique outlay and contrasting style was quite appropriate as it displays all the necessary information required. The colour scheme I used within all my first design is purple, white and black as I wanted it to be consistent and after experimenting with colours purple make both the black and white legible.

Following the same theme from my first design I wanted to stick with a consistent style and use the same colour scheme throughout. For my first design i experimented with typography trying to use the same sans- serif font throughout my design as I wanted a more modern feel to it and also wanted to makre sure it was legible. As well as changing the composition and layout of the invitation so that I could include all of the necessary details requiring the End Of Year Show. Invitation

Catalogue The catalogue for my first design followed the rest of the theme but was composed differently to resemble more of catalogue. From the experiment above I slightly changed the layout to include a better image and make the text easier to read. I kept the same colour scheme throughout my whole design therefore it was important that approaching the catalogue from a different perspective that I needed to ensure that it tied in with the rest of the design.

The idea for my first website was to keep it consistent with the rest of my design and after Website experimenting for a while to see what worked well and what didn’t work I quickly understood that having proper navigation buttons did not look appropriate and that they were not aesthetically pleasing. So therefore, when I was designing the real website, I tried to change the navigation buttons so that they would look better and leave enough room for the rest of the information.

D My second design was influenced from geometric design trying to create work from a whole different E perspective and something more creative to be more attractive to the creative industry audience S and make the End Of Year Show seem appealing so that people would want to go after seeing it. I G On my poster it was crucial for me to include the N necessary information. My idea for this design was 2 to show almost like ideas coming from the graduate as the End of Year Show the final reunite of all the students before they go on their new adventures. Therefore, this idea was to show the flow of ideas from the Media graduates.

Doing a geometric design was challenging from the offset because every time something needed resized or I had to change the layout I would have to go back and restructure the whole invitation again. I wanted the invitation to be appealing and The invitation was eye catching. I have the hardest design shown the step by to create in order to step process that I follow the theme in have went through the previous work. in order to create I had to experiment the invitation for my with every aspect of second design. Even the invitation changing when I thought I the typography, had concluded to my colour scheme, layout colour palette I went and size to ensure back and changed it the invitation was I n v i t a t i o nsuitable. again so therefore all my second design needed to be adjusted slightly to ensure that they were all consistent and of a high enough standard

The catalogue for my third design needed to demonstrate the student who would have been included in the School of Communication and Media. Therefore, the text would demonstrate their work and though process alongside a picture of the student. The typography throughout all my second design is consistent. I decided to include the triangle alongside the right of the catalogue to tie it into the rest of the theme that I C a t a l o g u e hadpresentinthe rest of my second design. As the two main headings are the same font but just displayed differently.

The website for my second design used the common theme of the geometric design including all the same elements presented in the rest of the design. I had trouble with the design of the buttons and after trying many iedas i just decided taht teh typogrpahy was the best way to design it as any other attempts looked unprofessioanl and quite chilkd like. As in the first design i used icons alongisde the text but that wasnt suitable for this design as i had so much going on in the background it would look too cluttered so i decided to keep it simple. We b s i t e

D The poster for my third design was imaginative as I wanted to create something that would E represent my graphic design skills and a design that was different from the others that I had created S previously. i found this design the easiest to do because they aren’t many examples online I just I created a piece of work that I quite liked and ensured that I had included all of the information and G kept within the creative brief. N 3

INVITATION The invitation was the first time that I had introduced a new colour to this design I used a shade of turquoise to compliment the shade of purple and highlight the information so taht certain aspects would stand out. As the invitation was just a slightly different version of the poster that I had created. I just laid it out differently and changed the colours to give it another dimension so taht all the work wasn’t too repetitive also but followed the same sort of style.

CA When creating the TAL catalogue i had to OGUE experiment numerous times until I was happy with the design of it because I wasn’t sure what to include and what not to include but the final creation is at the bottom right. I am happy with the design of it and how it evolved as I continued designing as the first wo attempts were cluttered and predictable. With the 2020 being the main focus of the catalogue it was hard for me to include all the rest of the information without it becoming unprofessional and cramped. Therefore, I inserted a new image so that it tied in with the rest of the catalogues demonstrating the student and their work but also rethinking the structure and sizing of the elements on the catalogue as this was crucial.

The website is like the initial poster for this dosing as I wanted to try and tie it all in together. Using the same typography and similar layouts. My first idea for this design was to keep and opaque background so taht information was legible but also so that it would be more inviting and eye catching to the audience. Although the hardest part of this website was creating the navigation buttons because i struggles keeping to colour scheme and ensuring that the buttons were legible. WEBSITE
