ABOUT INNER VISION INTERNATIONAL For more than two decades Inner Vision International, Inc. (IVI) has empowered youth, parents, and teachers with powerful Social Emotional Learning tools to help transform the trajectory of American Youth. On December 31, 2021, Shelby County Board of Education signed a Master Service Agreement with Inner Vision International to provide: Direct Services, Online Learning, Live Webinars and Web-based Curriculum (Subscription based services) Inner Vision develops district-specific curriculum, workshops, and online training materials to meet the unique and specific needs of individual communities. Our capability to develop relevant content that stimulates thought-provoking conversations and fosters positive behavior transformation stems from our commitment to help create a more socially and emotionally developed society. Using our products, caregivers and teachers will develop more meaningful conversations with students, thereby fostering better relationships and creating a fertile environment for learning. Inner Vision International has developed several innovative programs to help our partners educate effectively. They include: The Vision ®, a Social Emotional Learning curricula series for youth in grades 4-12, The STOP™ - paperback, audio, and online reading materials geared towards improving police and community relations, The ..N.....E.....W.. Conversation™ - an online learning system designed to educate and provide solutions to improve Police and Communities of Color Relations, eLearning with DB™ - an online platform for school districts with Culturally Relevant content.
THE PARTNERSHIP Research shows that students who struggle in unique settings often need additional support navigating social emotional factors. Our goal is to design a program for the aforementioned programs that holistically supports these needs of our students across the district and provides specific content to support social emotionparl oavnideascademic growth. As the local education agency, we seek professional learning providers to ensure that teachers, support staff, and leadership in these programs access to high quality professional learning opportunities that support each programs’ goals and objectives. In direct alignment with the district’s five-year vision and each programs’ goals and objectives, the awarded consultants/providers will deliver professional learning that will allow each of the individual programs to advance its priorities while embodying the core values, including equity and continuous learning. Shheellbbyy Couunnttyy SScchhoooolsls((SSCCSS)) solicited proposals from qualified consultants/providers with a platform for determining student, teacher/staff, and parental Social Emotional Learning (SEL) needs via comprehensive needs assessment to customize and deliver interactive engagement workshops and web based curriculum for our special populations (students identified as at-risk in Neglected/Delinquent facilities and students in Private Schools). Currently, there are four residential Neglected facilities, one Delinquent facility (Juvenile Detention Center), and forty (40) private schools served by the District. Innnneerr VVissiioonn Inntteerrnnaatitoinoanl,alI,nIcn. c(.V(Venednodro#r:#9: 390305598) will collaborate with program directors, other designated school officials, and/or principals at the private facilities/schools to ensure the program is customized and meets the specific needs of the identified student population. Erika Battle Throughout her tenure in education, Erica has been a classroom teacher, instructional specisapliescti,aalinsdt teacher mentor. It was through those experiences that Erica realizeesd that she not only had a love for teaching children, but she also had a passion of helping other educators realize their full potential. Erica left the traditional classroom setting in 2017 to begin consulting full-time. Throughout this time Erica has had the opportunity to collaborate with educators across the country. Erica has provided professional development in Rigorous and Relevant Instruction, Trauma Informed Practices, Addressing the SEL Needs of Students, Equitable Instructional Practices, and How to Use Data to Inform Practice. Erica has also given Keynote presentations on Acting for Impact, Addressing the SEL Needs of Students, and Equity in Education. Erica holds a B.S. in Mass Communications from Tennessee State University, a MAT from Trevecca Nazarene University, and a M. Ed from Lipscomb University. Erica has written and published an adolescent self-discovery book titled, Who Are You? A Guide to Help Adolescents Navigate Through the Social and Emotional Issues of Life.
