History

 The history of vyshyvanka goes through the many centuries. Many sources say that embroidery exists from many centuries ago. Unfortunately, sights on Ukrainian shirt are only from last few centuries.



In ancient times the main motives show elements of symbolism of ancient cultures. Through the many centuries specific content have been lost but tradition didn’t disappear. Now, every region of Ukraine has his own embroidery.



 Skirts-sewn women’s belt clothes. Skirts were worn on all territory of Ukraine. National skirts also were blue, green, red and blue colors. Today, in Ukraine we can see many of people wearing national dress.



Nowadays, men like wearing national shirt with classic trousers or with national pants, called sharovary. Women wear national shirts and national skirt. Ukrainians wear national clothes on some holydays or on formal meetings.
