Page 5Em po weri ng You th for a Bri gh ter Tom orro w… HIWPT welcomes agreement with Mastorah Charity and Mansour Al Mosaid Group for the Saudi youth training The Higher Institute for Water and Power Technologies (HIWPT) welcomed recently the new agreement signed with Mastorah Charity and Mansour Al Mosaid Group regarding the empowerment of underprivileged Saudi youths which will pave the way for their training development thus enabling them to qualify for working in technical fields. HIWPT Acting Executive Managing Director (EMD) Tariq AlShamrani commented during the signing ceremony, “Today is a remarkable day within the framework of strategic training cooperation and integration with both Mastorah Charity and Mansour Al Mosaid Group. Both sides will work to ensure the training development and employment opportunity for Saudi trainees in collaboration with HIWPT.” The historic agreement was signed separately in Rabigh by Sulaiman Al-Aslani, Director of Mastorah Charity and in Jeddah by Nawaf AlSudairi, General Manager of Mansour Al Mosaid Group. A successful training orientation was held last September 01, 2020 at HIWPT Rabigh for the 1st batch of Saudi youths under the social development initiative of Mastorah Charity & Mansour Al Mosaid Group. The new trainees have received Android tablets as part of the HIWPT’s blended eLearning educational system.

A total of 20 Saudi youths from the Umluj community graduated from HIWPT last September 8, 2020. The graduation ceremony was attended by Sakan Charity and HIWPT delegates in Umluj, one of the governorates in the Tabuk region. The graduates have undergone training in the operation and maintenance program sponsored by Acwa Power company. They are expected to join and work with the Nesma and AlMabani company. The first batch of simulator graduates. On Wednesday, September 9, 2020, Engr. Tariq AlShamrani, HIWPT Acting EMD, and staff witnessed in the HIWPT simulator area the graduation ceremony of four simulator trainees sponsored by NOMAC company. The graduates are among the 22 new trainees who are recommended to train and deploy as local and CCR operators in the project areas of Acwa Power for operation and maintenance.
