Charlotte Storrs Stoneware www.charlottestorrsstoneware.co.uk

I am a Dutch potter, working from my garden studio in Oxfordshire. I make functional stoneware, pots, plates and bowls which can be used on a daily basis. Everything is thrown on the wheel and each piece is unique. I decorate the leatherhard clay with patterned ceramic rollers and apply a white glaze, made for me in Ireland, for a simple, rustic and elegant appearance. Vibrant food colours stand out beautifully against the white ceramic. With many of my pots I use akebia for handles. Akebia is a vine which I discovered during a trip to Japan to visit potters. It is a strong natural material and each strand is different. All work is oven and dishwasher proof apart from pieces with akebia. I usually make to order but occasionally have work in stock. I sell from the pottery, through shops, galleries and my website, and send orders within the UK, to Europe and the States. Do come and visit the pottery when you are in the area, but please ring beforehand. It will be lovely to see you!

Front cover: large pasta serving dish, pasta bowls, salad dressing jug, large herb pot. We use our pasta bowls frequently, not just for pasta but also for curries, risottos, salads, chilli con carne, frankly any kind of \"bowl food\". A very comforting way of eating. My husband loves them! Left: tray with akebia handles, large jug, beakers, crème brûlée pots used for nibbles, in our herb garden. Below: large and medium plates, small bowls, medium bowl with tomatoes from the greenhouse, beakers, one with flowers from the garden, small lantern with heart cutouts, name holders.

Left: veg buckets with akebia handles, with produce from our greenhouse and raised vegetable beds. Below: mixing bowl with handle, jam/butter pots, sugar sifter (excellent for mince pies at Christmas time!). Next page, left: large jug, tulip vase, flower tubs with akebia handles. Next page, top right: lamp base, beaker with flowers, medium storage jar. Next page, bottom right: countertop basin, soap dish.

Left: herb pots in all sizes. These are good for hiding shopbought black plastic pots. Below: ceramic gift vouchers for £25, £50 and £100. Vouchers are provided in a linen bag with a brochure and a set of postcards. Each voucher has a code on the back. The recipient just needs to quote this with an order. Back cover: cheese tray with akebia handles, large salad bowl with salad from the garden, medium butter pot, small bowl with tomatoes from the greenhouse, crème brûlée pot with olives.
