Edi tor's Note COMPLAIN LESS, CREATE MORE We all aspire to do, be, and have great things. Yet most of us simply aren't creating the results we want. We complain that we don't have enough money, romance, success or joy in our lives. We point fingers and blame outside problems that \"happen\" to us and make life more difficult. But what we need to understand and keep at the forefront of our minds is that greatness exists in all of us. It is simply up to us to pull it out of ourselves.Perhaps what you need to be doing is get your hands on the book I amcurrently reading by Taylor Pearson, THE END OF JOBS - Money, Meaning and Freedom Without the 9-to-5. The book is about how the traditional job is disappearing quickly and why you must make the transition towards owning your own business as soon as possible to avoid being caught in the impending collapse. Should you still be puzzled as to what type of business you can create, come join us at The Dome from the 8-10 September at the BuyaBusiness expo where industry experts will be sharing info on how to start and grow businesses from as little as R1500.06 Wealth Ladder Magazine Sept em ber 2016

American Radio Personality and BusinessCoach JT Foxx talks about his careerand recently released book MillionaireUnderdogAmerican radio personality, philanthropist, entrepreneur, andwealth coach JT Foxx says looking back at his journey tobeing the now infamous businessman and media personalitythat he is, he wouldn?t change a thing as everything he wentthrough led him to where he is right now. He recently spoketo us about his success, the journey thereof and his newbook and here?s what he said:On growing up:The Canadian-born business coach says for most of his childhood, he wastold he would never be successful or good at anything. ?It wasn?t an easychildhood, but it made me who I am today,?he explained. So, did he go to university and if so, what did he study? The business coach says he didn't find university useful. ?I had a differentplan for myself. I knew I wanted to do something to prove everyone wrong. It wasn?t until I found real estate that I started to figure it out.?When did he know he wanted to be a business coach andhow did he find out?According to him, business coaching was a result of his success in realestate. ?I was doing real estate deals and getting very good at it, andpeople wanted to know how I was able to do it. So, I started coaching them. After real estate coaching, I started to build a real estate business and thenother businesses through the help of my coaches, which is what ultimatelyled me to business coaching.?What makes him different from other business coaches outthere??I coach people on what I know and from business experiences that I amexperiencing right now. I am not teaching about things that worked yearsago. I use what?s working right now. I think that, paired with the fact that Iam completely driven by my students?success, is the thing that makes thebiggest difference.? 23 Wealth Ladder Magazine Sept em ber 2016

What makes him different from other business coaches out\" What excuses there?are holding you ?I coach people on what I know andback? Are you stuck from business experiences that I am experiencing right now. I am not doing something the old teaching about things that workedfashioned way? Stay open years ago. I use what?sto new ideas, get rid of working right now. I thinkthe limited thinking. that, pairedDon?t be intimidated with the factby something that I amnew.\" completely driven by my students? success, isthe thing that makes the biggest difference.?What makes a Business Coach and canbusiness coaching be considered aprofession ? something one can studyfor at school??You can?t study to become a business coach. You really have to haveexperience in business to be able to coach other people on theirbusiness. You have to experience things in real life and in real situationsin order to be able to help others through their situations.? On having a coach as an entrepreneur, business person and in life? Foxx says it is absolutely critical for one to have a guide, especially in business. As he explained, ?The only way to get where you want to go is to get direction and work with people who have been there before. It?s also the best way to avoid making mistakes and build a successful business the easiest way possible. When you are building a business, you are going to have questions and you are going to hit road blocks. A business coach is the one that is going to help you get throughthat. If you don?t have someone with experience on your side, you aregoing to get stuck, or worse, listen to the advice of someone who doesn?tknow what they are talking about.?24 Wealth Ladder Magazine Sept em ber 2016

On making sacrifices along the way: ?I don?t look at it like I am sacrificing. To me, it?s making choices. Everyone makes different choices along the way and I know the choices I?ve had to make and I wouldn?t change them.? His advice to aspiring entrepreneurs or entrepreneurs struggling to move their businesses forward: ?(1) Get a coach. Chances are, the reason you get stuck with where you are is because you don?t have a coach. (2) Find a different way of doing things. People mostly get stuck because they want to keep doing the same things they have been doing, which are not helping them move forward.? What gives him the most satisfaction from his work? ?Helping others succeed is what really gives me the most satisfaction.? How does he define success? ?To me, success is being able to do what you want, with whom you want and when you want. That?s the ultimate wealth and success.? Hobbies outside his profession? ?I love to go kite surfing, wake boarding, going to the beach and really just any type of water sport. I like to spend free time on the beach in warm weather? Common misconceptions about entrepreneurship: ?That there is an easy way or there are shortcuts. It?s not easy, it takes a lot of work, dedication, and determination to really do well and be successful.? On Networking: The business coach says networking is very important. ?I always say your network equals your net worth. You have to connect and network with the people you want to do business with. Without those connections, it?s harder to keep moving forward with the business in the direction you want to go.?26 Wealth Ladder Magazine Sept em ber 2016

Some tips on building strong networks:?Look for a way to help the other person before you ask for something. Most people go into a situation asking for what they want instead offinding a way to help the other person. Once you help the other person, they are more likely to help you.?On the importance of maintaining a good relationship withone?s employees:?It?s really important to have a team that works well together, though it?ssomething that is easier said than done. I am not connected with myentire team but only with a few key members that understand my visionand work with the rest of the team. It?s very important, though, that therest of the team understands how they contribute and how to worktogether. You will only ever be as strong as the weakest person andyou have to remember that.?Some tips for surviving tough economic times:?Don?t cut marketing. Most people cut the things that make them moneyin order to keep the doors open, but you can?t cut the areas that arebringing in customers. You have to find ways to innovate and makewhat you do something that people need, not just something that theywant.?On striking a balance in life:According to Foxx, balance is different for everyone. ?Everyone needsto be able to find their own balance and what works for them. I take afew week-long breaks throughout the year and that?s what works forme, but that might not work for everyone.?His goals for the future:?My next goal is to become a billionaire. I am pretty confident that I willmake that happen, but that is my next goal. I also what to be theperson that makes a million people?s visions become their reality.?Any regrets??It?s always easy to look back and think of a different way you couldhave done something, but I don?t think I would change anythingbecause everything that has happened has led me to where I am rightnow.?For more on JT Foxx, visit his officialwebsite or follow him on Twitter. 27 Wealth Ladder Magazine Sept em ber 2016
