The game was delayed twice due to poor weather, but the brilliant sun could not have shined brighter during that Monday afternoon. Around 70 senior girls' names were entered into the ballot for homecoming queen. It was then narrowed down to 20 girls, then to 10. After the entire school voted, Jackie Kovach was voted runner up, and Melissa Giannetti was happily announced as the 2009 Homecoming Queen.
