As an acknowledgement of my own errors, we did have to think about MISS SL Organization and its structure more clearly. MISS SL Organization has been created by me one year ago, for many reasons, which I have repeated like a mantra in the one and other speech or writing over and over again. On Sunday December 13, I have met a few, who were interested and came for the Q&A session at the Angel Manor. I have mentioned in this very constructive meeting, that I do not plan on deciding everything my own, like it has been in many parts in the last year and how I was used to when directing a estate company due to the lack of interest by the owner of this particular estate. As owner of MISS SL Organization I am actually very interested in all activities of the entities. I suppose I would be a terrible owner if I wouldn`t be interested. Yet I notice also that all seems to revolve around me, which I find not only terribly wrong but also think it is like a show stopper at times, while only the cooperation of the entities leads and proper communication16 MISS SL Magazine January 2015
may result in success for all involved parties.The idea is not old, actually I have this longin mind already but after the recent events, it was even more clear that a “Board ofDirectors” for MISS SL Organization can bethe only way to manage all the decision andprocesses of an organization in the scale, MISS SL Organization has grown to.The MISS SL “Board of Directors”members are the leads of the single entities,such as the academy, agency etc, which aredeciding in future together for all strategies,plans, schedules, financial aspects, andmuch more.As owner it is my duty to oversee that MISS SLOrganization preserves the standards we have set andthat the structures remain as is and function properly.But the detailed processes are better maintained bya team rather than a sole gray eminence.The term “Board of Directors” may sound familiarespecially to some of the renowned models andthe explanation is easy.The MISS SL January 2015 MISS SL Magazine 17
Organization “Board of Directors” will consist of course of the entities leads but additonally will have external members. One of this external member positions is permanently set by Mr Ramses Meredith, not only as an acknowlededgement to the tremendous support he has provided to MISS SL Organization in the background during the last year, but it is also an enormous honor to be able to receive his advice and feedback, considering his long years of experience in SL (and RL) Fashion and Modeling, as well as of the many other aspects Ramses has knowledge in. It is undenieable, that an huge portion of my own creativity and ideas is based on his I´m looking forward for the sta reform of the organization. It has been a display of beauty, creativity and talent without doubts. The first live audition for MISS SL 2016 was kind of special to me for certain reasons, but for sure it was even more special and exciting for the ladies, who auditioned that day. 17 aspirants have shine on the runway like never before, all aiming for the same goal, to become an official candidate for MISS SL 2016. But the judges have been hard, just as I would hope they are, and so it were 10, who have been selected as official candidate by their scoring. What are the judges looking for in MISS SL 2016 is not just about30 MISS SL Magazine January 2015
beautiful pixels and outstanding styling. It is also aboutperfectionism, attitude, graciousness, elegance... I couldcontinue the list with a number of adjectives I get in mymind.A MISS SL, if candidate or winner, is also representinga community, a country and... a dream. A dream thatmany women would like to experience. The resultingresponsibility can be challenging but it is, more thanever before, the task of MISS SL Organization tohelp the ladies to be representatives all of SL canlook up to.It are still some months to go until welearn, who is going to be January 2015 MISS SL Magazine 31
the next MISS SL, but I personally cannot wait to look at each single candidate and see, how they may evolve and progress during the coming competition and maybe what we can learn from them also . In this first audition we did have a wonderful audience too and at the end of the finale walk I was very relieved. Some accounts have approached me before the application process begun and told me, that I would do better to delay MISS SL 2016 or even not to start it. I think it is safe to say that the audition proved this “concerns” as pointless, despite that I do have certain32 MISS SL Magazine January 2015
reasons to keep the schedule for MISS SL/MRSL pageants as we did in 2015.The schedule in mind, but knowing also theexpectations in MISS SL Organization, I doconsider myself very lucky about the supportwe have received for this first audition, back-as well as frontstage and cannot express mygratitude any better than by simply saying“Thank you, you have been FABULOUS”. Idefinetely look forward for the coming twoauditions, to learn, who is going to join ourfirst 10 Misses as official candidates. I didn`t know much about Saian, when he joined the MR SL 2016 pageant, but sure was not surprised, that he made it through the first audition without any difficulties. It`s not exeggerated to say, that he draw the attention in this audition already with an impeccable styling and a perfect performance on the runway. While he has shown in the challenges to be rather taken back, disciplined and concentrated, he managed to surprise the judges each time new with his sense for creative and interesting styling, which literally screamed for high scoring. When we announce the results in the Grand Finale of MR SL 2016 and Saian was announced to be the winner, my head already spinned around some thoughts, trying to see what I know about Saian. At that moment I had to admit myself that I did ot know to much, but that he is Fashion Director for a well known french modeling ageny and academy instructor, which already was promising for an intereting year with him as MR SL. When working close with each other, it sure is required to get to know each other better and so I ask Saian, to write 10 secrets he has, to give us a little better insight, who is the man of the year, MR SL 2016.40 MISS SL Magazine January 2015
1 I have only really one fear..spiders..This is what we call a phobia, the funny part of that is that even in SL I cant stand anything about spiders.. I try however to keep control on this fear, I am impressed with the different faces of a phobia but you do not have really much to do, except to get a grip on ourself2 I love doing sport.. i played tennis and im doing Judo and jiu-jitsu since few years but each time i tried to play football i was a mess... and flirting with girls it is the same... totally awkward.I´m not someone who is shy but I´m not comfortable when women flirt with me even if im proud of it, its always pleasant being hit on, im just a bit awkward i think. 3 I do not have a certain kind of gender for my choice of partners. My only interest is the spirit and the attitude ...I work only on feelings, it is exactly the same thing for the age and the physical appearance...that does not mean that I would be necessarily attracted by somebody much olderthan me. But on the contrarysomeone can be a Golden Miss or Mister Universe, if the spirit is bad I would have no attraction. 4 I do absolutely not like horror movies. It’s not that I am specially afraid of looking at them, it is just that I am not a big cinema enthusiast and when I decide to see a movie, I have only a desire to relax or laugh and not to jump or to worry me on every critical scene. 5 I will explain this very easy, even if my close friends and family cannot really understand that... I have some issues with my self control and behavior. I can loose patience easily and getting enough mad to loose control of myself and I can be a real mess. On the other hand I can show an exemplary patience in some situations, especially when I work at the school and with people, who need my help.42 MISS SL Magazine December 2015
6 Yes...I am not super proud of it, but I started SL when I was 16 years old (almost). I did not really care telling anything about my age, cause when you are a newbie, noone really wants to speak to you. But step by step I got friends and I couldn’t tell them I was so young... so yes I lied for a while... until I decided that it was not good at all ...I left SL with my first avatar for 18 months and came back to say the truth... my old friends and even my girlfriend which i was with and lied to her as well, forgave me. Ok, that was not a big crime, but now I´m glad that all is ok with that sincerely.7 It is a bit like the story of two faces...I am rather a good person, I hate to be mean and I can really be an angel and achieve the most beautiful things for people who I love. On the other hand, if somebody tries to bring me into troubles or in particular doing bad things with one of my close friends... I can become a real devil. I hate this wickedness and even more when it is set free. January 2015 MISS SL Magazine 43
8 OK...It’s maybe funny..and makes most of my friends and family laughing. I am obsessed by my hair, it has to be perfect all the time. I use a lot of lotions and I cant stand to have it to long. My hairdresser sometimes wonders why I come, because there is almost nothing to cut and laughs at me but he adores that and I am his best customer The first time when my fiancé Caesar and I met, he said...you have to much Gel, one day you will loose all your hair... I will die when this happens !! 9 I`have a little bit of O.C.D (Obsessive- Compulsive Disorder). I say little cause I´m not like people which get an anxiety disorder characterized by uncontrollable, unwanted thoughts and repetitive, and i have not compulsive irrational behaviors — but sometime I feel myself unable to resist to move things and I´m obsessed with order and symmetry. I`m not happy before everything is perfect . Just because you have obsessive thoughts or perform compulsive behaviors does NOT mean that you have obsessive-compulsive disorder. With OCD, these thoughts and behaviors cause tremendous distress, take up a lot of time, and interfere with your daily life and relationships.44 MISS SL Magazine December 2015
10 I did some modeling in RL 3 years ago, print and some fashion shows... I did not feel comfortable and don’t consider it as a great experience for me...I did not like reallythe atmosphere the way people consider modeling in RL. Basically the modeling industry is not so different in SL, but in the details it is. I chose to be a Model in SL cause I knew how to manage with this. I´m not sure if I could do anything else really. I`m very proud to have won Mr SL contest, this is my best career accomplishment and I´m glad to help and share all my experience with new models and students.Thanks to MR SL 2016, SaianSamuel forsharing his very interesting secrets withus in an honest and open way.
