Quality ControlBefore quality at the job site can be achieved, the necessary preliminary work must be done to assure the proper materialsare delivered on a timely basis. This is accomplished through thorough review of shop drawings, and through consultationswith the subcontractors and material suppliers who also furnish materials to the job site.Once the materials are delivered to the job site, our superintendent follows a systematic process of inspection and viewsdesigned to flag any deficiencies occurring in the workmanship or installation of materials. If deficiencies are noted, theyare immediately corrected.RA-LIN has taken positive steps to assure Quality Control. We first strive to conform to the plans and specifications, whichwe believe is the first step in quality control. Secondly, we add the subjective assurance that each project will be construct-ed to the level of quality we would want if we were the Owner.
Safety ProgramAn additional factor contributing to the success of our projects is a well-defined Safety Program. We employ a full-timeCorporate Safety Manager. Upon employment, every employee receives a personal copy of our Safety Program/SubstanceAbuse Policy. Each job is visited periodically by members of our safety staff to assure compliance with our safety require-ments and to assist in educating employees about safety procedures. RA-LIN also provides classes in safety training andproblem recognition for supervisory personnel.Our superintendents are always reminded of the importance of safety. They conduct weekly safety meetings on each jobsite where employees are reminded and charged to work in a safe manner. IOA, our insurance carrier, makes frequent n-site inspections for the purpose of prevention. A written report is made summarizing each visit, and our superintendentsimmediately implement any recommendations made. Monthly loss reports are reviewed at the corporate level for earlydetection of problem areas. Should a specific problem be found, possible corrective action is discussed with the projectmanager and appropriate action is taken. All subcontractors and their personnel are by contract subject to these safetyrules while working on our projects.
