From the Principal’s Desk The longest journey starts with a small step. The pandemic has taken us on a rollercoaster ride of emo ons which included denial of the pandemic to acceptance of the inevitability of its existence and effects. Sadly, the dips have outnumbered the upswings in this ride. The rays of hope have failed to warm and lighten up the bleakness that surrounds humanity currently. Against the background of this grim situa on, we are taking the first small step towards the long journey to normalcy in every aspect of life, from economics to educa on. While we undertake this journey, we also need to be aware of the learning from the past few months. Not just aware but we also need to adopt these learning in the mes ahead. A few of the lessons that we have learnt are: a) The importance of hygiene and its impact on health. b) The importance of leading a healthy lifestyle. c) Being adaptable and developing skills at all levels. d) When preven on is not an op on, then protec on is the way ahead. The wri ng on the wall is clear. We can't hide behind lockdowns permanently and we will have to come out of it in a graded manner while along the way, we need to bear in mind and implement the following: a) Avoid being an alarmist. b) Si ing between facts and made up informa on which is disseminated indiscriminately through social media. As we take these baby steps on our path to normalcy, we cannot fall prey to any of the above. Along this journey, there will be obstacles and roadblocks and also there will be tes ng mes. We will have to navigate these with focus, determina on, care and by keeping safety as our prime mo o and guiding principle. We need to not only sustain ourselves through this journey but also care for our fellow travellers through empathy. There has to be solidarity and a spirit of togetherness that needs to be fostered and propagated. Here is wishing ourselves be er mes ahead with the hope that we lead this journey with faith and convic on and not be bogged down by the virus. Let us march together towards triumphant mes ahead… Brahmam Bodhi Kishor Joshi Principal

Student Corner I Wonder... I wonder this life in forest, seas, oceans in deep. Animals in this world, some unknown and some familiar to us do sleep. I wonder how these types differ to them. For them, all they are, is the lion as their roots, their homes the leaves, and, the family their stems. I wonder how they survive, while now people have cut their homes. Now, I think this me revenge can only be taken when they change their tones. I wonder how much they suffer, because if deforesta on these days, they miss their supper. I wonder how they live without any happiness, with so many problems they every me do witness. Find some way, my dear friends, all the me has come to an end. Pull up your socks, wear your boots. Save these animals, become their roots. I wonder jus ce comes to their way, save them, they also want to live anyway. Anandalekshmi S
