From the Principal’s Desk Bodhi Interna onal School is now an authorized IB PYP school. We are happy to announce that we successfully completed the process in record 18 months. We are now the only school in Western Rajasthan to have this cer fica on. This has been achieved due to the hard work and efforts put in by a lot of stakeholders including students, parents, teachers and the management. I am humbled by the scope of the task and the execu on of the same with precision and perfec on. THANK YOU to everyone involved in this process. Since we are now an IB school, it is worth talking about the features of the IB that are per nent not just in today's age but also in alignment with the New Educa on Policy envisioned by the government and from the point of view of 21st Century skills. We live in a world where knowledge is not the domain of a select few but is freely and equally available to all. Hence, the way ahead is not only through knowledge but also through the skills required to apply, analyze, synthesize and u lize it for the greater good. The IB Philosophy comes in with the right number of developmental points and prac ces to enhance this in all students from a young age. The IB also lays importance to giving students the a ributes to choose goals and take responsibility for selfprogress. This will help us build a genera on of selfassured and confident world ci zens of tomorrow. We, at Bodhi Interna onal School, are proud to do our bit towards the same. Developing language skills from a young age and, that too, through mul ple paths, is another cornerstone of IB Philosophy which sets a high benchmark for development of primary language in the children. The IB believes that the educa on of children should develop their primary language and not come at the cost of having to give the first language of choice. This not only helps in fostering language skills but also makes the regional languages more robust as envisioned by the new educa on policy. From the sugges on for extensive use of appropriate technology to researchbased learning, the confluence of ideas in IB Philosophy and the NEP is worth delving into deep. At Bodhi Interna onal School, we are now on the path of making a success of educa on through IB PYP in the forma ve years and CAIE Curriculum in the middle and senior years. I welcome all of you on our journey towards making our endeavours a huge success. Brahmam Bodhi Kishor Joshi Principal

Career Education Hub Scholarships: Myth vs Reality The realm of scholarships is full of misconcep ons. Some of the most common myths about scholarships are –  Scholarships are available only for students belonging to economically backward classes or underserved sec ons of the society.  Only meritorious students are eligible to get a scholarship.  The amount of scholarship that a student receives is not worth your efforts.  Applying for a scholarship is a tedious task and involves you to follow too many guidelines.  You can apply for only one scholarship. However, when it comes to reality about scholarships, the following facts count –  The realm of scholarships is very vast and is applicable for students of all class, caste, creed, category and gender.  Scholarships primarily aim at suppor ng educa on. Thus, a variety of scholarships are available to meet the customneeds of students namely, meritbased, means based, talentbased, meritcummeans based, sportsbased etc.  When it comes to educa on, every small or big effort that you make to get easy access to educa on, counts.  With the advent of technology, the applica on process has become more convenient and easier.  You can apply for as many scholarships as you want to but can avail only one. This condi on of availing a scholarship may vary from provider to provider. Bodhi Career Educa on Hub has always guided students for various scholarships in India and abroad. Recently the University of Limerick, Ireland introduced a Scholarship Compe on where one of our students, Pragya Deora of the Class of 2021 par cipated. I am happy to announce that she is the proud winner of the Law Scholarship Compe on and has secured the scholarship of €1500 for the 1st year. The faculty and members of the Interna onal Office of University of Limerick enjoyed reading her essay on the topic, Fluidity of Law.

Student Corner Embroidery is a highly engrossing handiwork on fabric done by special needles and threads. The cloth is embellished with ecsta cally unique designs which look par cularly rich. Aditi Jain The source of my inspira on was my Mom. When she started making basic designs on the Grade 10 cloth, I thought this is just boring but when she finished making complete pa erns, it a racted me too. Thus, I decided to make different designs on napkins and masks. I started doing embroidery during the lockdown. Although I had board exams coming up, I tried to occupy myself with other cocircular ac vi es like canvas pain ng, drawing, sketching, calligraphy, embroidery, cooking, hair styling etc. Passing my me in these things gives me a great sa sfac on. Also, these ac vi es help me enhance my skills and knowledge.
