Message from THE CHAIRMAN on the recent achievement of Dr Venunadhan B Pillai Principal, Bodhi International SchoolThe Principal of Bodhi International School has been invited to be accredited as Cambridge English Trainer by Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE). He is amongst the few Indians who have been selected by CAIE to besubject trainers in India.The unprecedented achievement that has festooned this teacher, teacher educator andeducation manager who fell in love with the teaching profession about three decades ago,still courting it passionately, is like his conquering another milestone. It’s probably a newbeginning for this veteran. He has undergone a rigorous selection process to reach thispedestal. I will encourage and try my hardest to engage all the students in the activities. Swachta Bharat Painting Workshop 11th January 2018The students of grades 6-8 participated in a workshop themed Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. They used their creativity to produce best out of waste. Materials like plastic bottles, bottle caps, tyres, cans and biodegradable items were usedto make beautiful murals and different kinds of planters. The purpose of theworkshop, to make the kids learn and progressively understand that resourcesshould be used carefully, was successfully met. The activities also reinforced themantra of 3Rs- Reduce, Reuse & Recycle.
Inter House Math Quiz Compitition 11th January 2018Speed and accuracy are the keys to explore the real MATH-E-MAGIC. In pursuit ofexcellence in mental Maths, young Bodhians of grades 9 and 10 participated inInter-house Maths Quiz competition on January 11, 2018. Students exhibited theirbrilliant Mathematical skills in all five rounds of the quiz and made sure that themargin of victory was the least. It was breathtaking to see the pace at which allparticipants were answering tough questions. All four houses started off very wellbut it was Rapid Fire Round which made the difference in the end. In a very closefight,Agastya house defeated Drona house to clench the title.

Environmental Quiz Competition 12th January 2018The Pre-Primary phase of the school competed in a quiz competition based on Environmental Education. The students of grades Blossoms and Buds were partnered in four groups to compete against each other. There were AVRound, Quick Brain First and Group Questioning Round. Each group exhibitedtheir knowledge and understanding of the topics by spontaneous answers; greatteam building spirit was also witnessed. The quiz turned out to be a great experiencefor the learners to understand the essence of collaborative learning and teamparticipation.

Flavours & Colours (Kite Festival) 13th January 2018Dancing kites painted the sky!Kai Po Che, the kite festival was celebrated in the school premises with èlan and flair. The moment was lifted by the fervour of the students and their parents who flew colourful kites to paint the nakedcanvas of the sky. The eyes were transfixed to the dancing kites and the Bodhiansmatched moves with them by dancing to the tunes of peppy songs. The festivitymultiplied manifolds with mouth watering delicacies that kept the spirits and energyhigh.
Machiya Safari Park Visit 19th January 2018 VISIT TO THE REALM OF FORESTSThe kindergarten phase of the school visited Machiya Safari Park and enjoyed some moments in proximity with the wild. The kids gleamed to see the wild life and keenly observed their activities. They saw black bucks, desert foxes,wolves, lions, spotted deer, pythons, crocodiles and a large variety of birds. Theteachers, inter alia the fun element, sensitized them to the cruelty these animals facenowadays.
Republic Day Celebration 26th January 2018 We Stand Tall- Republic and UnitedThe 69th Republic Day of the country was celebrated at Bodhi International School with ecstacy, pride and reverence for the motherland. Inspiring speeches in different regional languages of the country sent ripples ofexuberance in all for being the citizens of the world's largest democracy. Theperiphery echoed with the overwhelming songs praising the nation, its freedom andconstitution. An exotic feeling enveloped all when the cliched yet the most zealoussong-Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon- was sung by the school choir.
