Let's decipher few of the meaningful concepts in the ever-evolving landscape of “Career education”.Career: is an occupation undertaken for a significant period of a person's life andwith opportunities for progress.An occupation: a person's usual or principal work/business, especially as a means ofearning a living and is also called vocation. For instance, her occupation is medicine.A job: is a piece of work or task done as part of routine of one's occupation or for anagreed price. He gave him the job of editing the article.

Now that we know the intertwined concepts of job, career and occupation, careereducation can be best defined as an ongoing process both in the school andcommunity which enable individuals to make well-informed choices leading tosuccess in lifelong developmental patterns of learning, living and working. Itcomprises a sequential progress of educational experiences at every level and leadsto development of self-awareness, self-concept, career awareness, exploration ofoptions, decision making and preparation in one or more alternatives to achieve theindividual's career objective.We are glad to start this series of articles on Career Education. BRITISH COUNCIL INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AWARD 03rd December 2018 BODHI RECEIVED BRITISH COUNCIL INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AWARDThe investment of more than a year to plan, prepare and execute the collaborative activities that foster internationalism hasreached a rewarding fruition. Bodhi International School became theproud recipient of the most prestigious award by the British Council-The International School Award 2018-2021. The school is celebratingthis achievement which has added another milestone to the glory of itsnascent history. Ms Rashi Rohatgi, the ISA Coordinator of the school,received the award on behalf of the school.

“Tenali Rama” Annual Function (Junior) 15th December 2018The most celebrated intellectual from the pages of history, was the hero of the junior Annual Day of the school. The day witnessedan extravaganza of performances ranging from the tiny tots to thesenior most class of the primary phase. Mr Santhosh Babu, managingdirector of OD alternatives, an acclaimed key note speaker, gracedthe occasion as the Chief guest and gave away the prizes to thestudents who exemplified in different categories. Mr Kaisar Dopaishiwas the Guest of Honor. The event bagged appreciation from acrossthe city.









“Dastaan-e-Hunar” Annual Function (Senior) 16th December 2018The story of thick and thin of the life of Safeena, a Pakistani actress who suffered the brutality of India Pakistan separation,was staged as a tribute to her tenacity and skill by the senior school onthe 5th Annual Day. The opulence of the aesthetics of the stage set up,costume and performances took the spectators by awe. The chiefguest of the occasion, Mr Kaisar Dopaishi, Principal PodarInternational School, ORT, Mumbai was overwhelmed with theshowcase. Laudations from far and near the city had poured in.



Importance of guru in our lives is unprecedented. Life gets a direction and future seems promising.The privilege of felicitating the guru who sculptored the lives of many inJodhpur, Ms Kanti Kakkar, was granted to the school. MadamKakkar was the teacher and Principal of the members of themanagement committee of the school; they believe that the successof their lives has been an outcome of Ms Kakkar's guidance. TheLife TimeAchievementAward was conferred on her.

Guest Speaker Ms Swati Lodha 20th December 2018 ‘BECOME A HUMAN BEING OF YOUR CHOICE’Ms Swati Lodha, a recognized writer and motivational speaker, conducted a session for the students of grades 9 to 11 andsparked the hope in them that their choices matter. The sessionreinforced the fact that it is imperative to identify one's potential,choice and aspiration which should be persued for a contented future.

Meditation Camp 21st – 23rd Dec. 2018Bodhi Internationl School organized a three day Vipassana Meditation Camp for the student community of Jodhpur. Thesession with a good number of 70 students was a complete package ofcreative activities, alongside catering to their mental strength andstability. The much advocated mental health which is affected in theyouth of today due to various reasons, was the major reason fororganizing the camp. It was a successful endeavour of the school tointroduce learners to a healthy and beneficial practice of meditation.

Night Stay 22nd – 23rd Dec. 2018A fun filled night stay for the students of grades 1 to 3 was organized in the school premises. The students had a greatquality time, away from routine, with their teachers and friends. Theywatched movie, chit chatted and ate together. Morning becamepleasant further with a stroll in their favorite company. They left fortheir homes with a baggage of memories and a Christmas gift.

Christmas Carols 24th December 2018A special Christmas assembly was conducted by the kindergarten phase of the School. The children were told aboutthe birth of Lord Jesus through a small skit. The students dancedtheir hearts out and enjoyed with their friends. The assembly becameenergised when Santa visited the students and had fun with them.The spirit of giving and sharing was inculcated among the tiny tots asthey exchanged exquisitely packed gifts with each other. Later, classwise craft activity was also organized.

Open District Tennis Tournament 21st - 25th December 2018The 3rd Bodhi International School Open Tennis Tournament witnessed an exhibition of strength and vigour of both amateursand veterans. Budding tennis players, both boys and girls, pleased thespectators with their zestfulness.
